he radiant sun dapples across my perplexed face as I perch on the edge of my bedroom window. It was a satuarday ; I watched the golden leaves float of an old acorn tree that nobody lived in and land sofly on the ground before bowing to mark the end of their dainty performance.

A shout came from the other side of the door " Mimori darling "

The doorknob turns and Mamma enters.

" Your awake darling , Happy birthday dear."

" Thanks Mamma , the huge leaves are falling from the Acorn tree. " i reply disdainfully

" Like snow " says mamma dreamily

" There beautiful and all , aint they " I say as i stare after her.

She lays the breakfast i was unaware she was holding onto my bedside table.

" indeed " she says " indeed "

" Posh aint it " i say nodding at the food " Looks great even so , bet it tastes just the same " i say as i tuck in

" Human call it an english breakfast , when they dish out the full works , so i call it a proper Fea breakie. How's that for a name  " Mamma tells me.

" says what it is on the tin . Its a whopper " I grin " love it "

" Right , now for the birthday routine. Your here with family til noon . we' ll be traditional with games , gossip and pressies . Then just after noon you'll be off to the Apple tree for your party with friends til dusk . Jason will pick you up from the party and take you on a romantic date to celebrate your sixteenth and who knows when you will return but i trust that Jason . He'll have me to answer to if anything happens to you. So get up and dressed so we can get this party started.Yeah."

I have a quick soak and then open my wardrobe. To my surprize i find a new pearly pink dress. Slowly i pull it out and hold it before me. It is a beautiful silky ariel dress , it has a slit down the side revealing part of my right leg. Its has a velvet rim the colour of the hottest pink and dimonte flowing from my left shoulder to my right foot. As i put on my new outfit i lean against the wardrobe to keep my balance, satisfied by my sterdiness i bow my head to inspect the bottem of my dress. I had never wore a dress so long before it fwlt a little wierd like something was not quite right. I glimsed at my small feet and caught site of a dazzeling pair of stilettos , they were the same pink of the rim of my dress but instead of being velvety they were acrillic the shone radiently in the light of the sun. On the bottem of the sole my name was engraved in swirly handwriting that someone took there time to do by hand. This i new for a fact was very expensive and from that moment of realisation i think of mamma searching for the perfect outfit and going to the shoe makers for shoes that would match perfectly ; putting all this effort in to make my day perfect in every way. Suddenly a warmness comes over me and i feel like the suns radience has filled my heart , as the feeling dies away i walk over to my dressing table and sit down feeling refreshed. Warm arms rap themselves tightly around my shoulders. I jump. Then realising who the arms belond to i leen back into his chest.

" Hey hon , happy b-day "

" Thanks, Jay your not ment to be here its family only. You gotta go "

" Why the sudden change of heart, cant i guy visit his girlfriend when he wants to "

"Yeah but- "

" No buts i'm just poppin' in anyway came to give ya this "

He thrusts a small parcel into my hands. It is a small box with a ruby ribbon tied around it. A nervous feeling stabbes me.

" Well open it then , 'ope you like it. Yeah and dont pause like that your makin' me anxious and you know i ain't one for anxiety. "

" Yeah ,alright " I respond
