Chapter Two:

Nat and I sat in the plane side by side. It was almost 4:30 am back in New York. We hadn't slept for a couple of days, we were both drowsy. Nat's beautiful bun was now a beautiful mess. Her red hair fell on her shoulders, almost a messy half up half down bun. Just then Coulson came in the room and threw two black sheild bags at us.

"Get changed and some rest, you have an interrogation to preform tomorrow afternoon around 5:30ish when are passengers are awoken from their sleep," Coulson said sporting a smile. I nodded politely towards him.

"Thank's Coulson. We will see you when we land." Natasha said calmly as she took the belt off her dress. Coulson nodded and left the room.

Natasha and I turned around so we were back to back. We had done this many times before, especially on missions. Just because we were best friends doesn't mean we were close enough to see each other change. Well except for the one time in Budapest, long story. I finished changing and decided to fold up my suit and put it in the bag I was given. I heard Nat zip up her bag and I knew it was safe to turn around. We both sat back down on the bench.

The plane was huge. It wasn't the helicarrier, but it was big for a plane. I knew just from the looks of it there was at least 3 separate sleeping quarters. I guessed Director Fury took one alone, Coulson and Hill were sharing. That left me and Nat with one. Since it was a Sheild plane I assumed it also had a weapon room. And of course a cockpit where an AI system was likely driving.

Our room was small. Nat and I sat in the back on a small beach attached to the wall. There was on bed on our left. On our right there was a small bathroom with just a shower, toilet and sink. To the right of the bathroom there was a small closet most likely filled with blankets, towels and pillows. The door was in front of us.

I looked over at my best friend. She was wearing the same thing as me. Black pants, a long sleeved black shirt, and combat boots. Her long red hair fell just past her shoulders her curls looser then they were this morning. Natasha's face looked tired, but you could tell her mind was racing. Her wrist was bruised from when Yegor grabbed her.

"Hey Nat, what's wrong." I asked turning my body slightly toward her.

"I am just thinking about earlier," she said looking up from the ground.
"Like why Yegor was there, and where our actual target was."

" You were kinda freaked out by him, what's the story." I asked her knowing she wouldn't tell me but I wanted her to know I cared about whatever the heck this disgusting Russian did to her.

" He trained me in the red room. When the red room fell. I was long gone, I had already joined Sheild. There was a mission you didn't join me on. That was the day I thought I had killed him. The day I burned his face." A tear fell from her cheek. I wasn't expecting her to tell me anything, she rarely talks about her past. Nat rarely cry's, When that happens I usually have no idea what to do. This time I just knew what to do.

I put my hand on her shoulder and turned her towards me. I hugged her, I hugged her tight. She needed a hug, you could tell. Nat put her arms around my neck and hugged back. We sat and hugged for a long time.

I broke the silence. " Lets get some rest,ok." She nodded at me.

I went too the closest and got two pillows and two blankets. I laid my blanket on the floor and handed the other to Nat. I expected her to tame the bed but she laid hers on the area of floor next to mine. We laid down side by side and got some much needed, and deserved, shuteye.
