[00] Guide from the Past: What to Expect

"Wh-what...?" I was taken aback at the sudden unbalanced surface of the floor. Sure, it was a creaky and wooden flooring but it was odd. The house was relatively kept in an exquisite condition as I checked earlier. Seemed like it wasn't for this part of the building. As I tried to step it again, I could feel the flooring has something hidden below. It felt a bit thin but nonetheless obvious under my weight.

My curiosity level was off the roof of the room as I continuously but cautiously pressed my shoes on the floor board, feeling more of the thickness of an unknown object hidden.

'Why don't we take a peek...,' the little yet audible voice in the small corner of my mind whispered playfully as if it was a human mumbling suggestions over my ear. It was a temptation that I couldn't resist.

I kneeled on the side of the odd almost rectangular form of the flooring and began to examine how to open without harming myself. It wasn't hard to take off the flooring, it felt as if it was meant to be opened by just anybody who stands in this particular room.

When I was able to take off the board, I was presented with an old and worn out leather-like book. There were a lot of loose pages, seeing as there were a lot of papers scattered sloppily out through the corners of the book.

"Th-these are rather random..." I was taken aback at the contents as I was skimming through the wrinkly pages of the book. There were scribbles of drawings and notes everywhere. The drawings weren't in its best condition yet for some odd reason, when I read the main texts of a certain page, the little squiggles of drawing were moving. Of course I was

The atmosphere around me turned more comfortable as I continued to go from page to page. It was strange, usually when you encounter a peculiar book below the floorings of a semi-abandoned home, you would feel weird.

As if it was normal to encounter books below a floor board of a building.

I turned back to the first page and read the warning all over again, engraving those specific statements to mind.
