Tip #1!

So for this tip it's especially important. I don't care what school you go to, what grade you're in. Hey, even use this at work.

TAKE A BREAK ONCE IN A WHILE

I know it's kinda dumb to hear. "Yeah, take a break, of course do that ya big dummy."

Well, you'd be surprise on how many big dummies there are in the world. *Points at mehself*

Literally, I'm not even kidding you this is so important.

My school schedule was from 7:15 (other than Public Speaking at 7:40) to 2:30, but I got home at 3:30-ish. This means I'm up at 5:30/6:00 am and walking around campus all day long (especially at the end of the year when my classes were back and forth and I almost had to sprint when it would snow cause I was a slow walker).

One day, I had come home from school and it was a rough one. I woke up too early and couldn't go back to sleep, it was my least favorite classes that day and Japanese I had gotten my stuff for a dialogue check (Which pretty much made you memorize stuff in front of the class...horrible anxiety attacks). Overall, it was a rough day. I made it home at 3:32-ish and took a nap until 4. From 4 pm to 2 am I stayed up all night studying that dialogue check, doing math, bio, English, history, and another Japanese assignment.

During that time-span, I didn't eat at all and didn't take a single break and I didn't even shower though I needed one with that rough day. At 2 in the morning the only reason why I fell asleep was because I cried myself to sleep from the stress in my bed with all of my folders and my laptop not even charged, only to wake up at 5:30 and have to leave. I didn't even finish all my homework.

But guess what. I did it pretty much for nothing. That dialogue check wasn't the next day and that Japanese? While I finished the assignment, it wasn't the right one. I overworked myself to the point where I couldn't even tell what I needed to turn in. My personal health assignment I found out it was due the next week and, guess what else, we didn't even have class that day. I only had two homework assignments that needed to be turned in for sure and the other classes I didn't even finish.

All I'm saying is, just rest when you need to, eat when you need to, and personal hygiene is super important. Take a small break for ten minutes, even just to get yourself organized. Yes school is important, but it is hard enough to complete like it is now. Why make it worse by suffering more?
