Some time has passed, and yet he's still sitting in that chair I happen to know so well.
I tell myself one of these days I'll just scoot a few seats closer. And then the fear comes creeping back in. It's probably best if I keep sitting right here, across the room from Mr. No Name.
That way, the mystery is still present. That way, no hopes or wants are crushed. Instead everything can stay the same. Exactly how I want it to be.
Or wanted.
As the days continue to pass, my desire only strengthens. I fear this desire may be too much for me to handle.
