"Set me free."

"Ethan?" A girly voice says. His sister's voice. She smiles brightly as she sees him.

Ethan's mother embraces him into a hug tightly and cries from happiness before pulling Blake into the hug as well. After a few seconds the whole family hugs each other. Finally reunited after more than a year.

A few minutes move past with tears of joy and happiness before the family slowly starts to let go.

"Come in!" Ethan's mom says and walks into the house herself. Ethan and Blake follow her and the father closes the door.

They all sit in the kitchen at a table and are talking. "So Ethan, what happened? We were worried sick about you man." Evan says, Ethan's twin brother. They don't look like each other but they're very close.

Isabella, the sister of Ethan giggles, "and who's the girl?"

Ethan looks at Blake who looks overwhelmed by the big family she's sitting at the table with. She holds a white mug in her hands in which is chocolate milk.

Blake looks back at Ethan. He quickly looks away and eats a cookie out of the cookie jar. He now wears some clean clothes. Those who were painted with his blood are now being washed.

"Well... This is Blake. I met her in A.A. I don't know what they told you where I went but I went to an organization where they did experiments on kids, including me. They put something in my neck. Sometimes I still feel it. It sometimes gives small electronic shocks into my neck which shoot up to my head. It hurts... But not as much as being shot. That's why my shirt was so bloody. Anyway, they also... Gave me powers and... Made me a vampire. Do they worry though. I'm not going to attack any of you." He says as Isabella gulps. "Well... The people in A.A. do experiments on all of the kids there to make them soldiers and fight in wars or do any kind of stuff where strong people are needed. The worst thing is... They take away your memories... A year ago, I didn't even know who I was, who you all were."

His mother starts to have tears in her eyes again and his father hugs her.

"Then Blake and I got a mission. We were being captured there. A few days passed by and then Blake got rescued. I stayed there a year long. Turns out the kidnapper isn't that bad. He helped me get my memories back and turn off the thing in my neck. We then stormed A.A. and got some people out. When Blake and I drove here, we stopped at a gas station and I got attacked by two of their men. We managed to get away but I was shot. Blake got the bullets out and I healed on my own due to being a vampire."

His family is silent for a bit. After five minutes Evan and Isabella engulf him into a hug and pull Blake in it as well.

"I'm so sorry you had to go through that..." His mother replies silently.

"Don't worry son, we'll get them. We'll make sure they get their punishment. Right?" His father says while looking at his wife.

His mother nods, "luckily I'm one of the best lawyers in California."

"And I'll contact Miguel. We'll get that thing out of your neck." His father says. Miguel is the father of Austin and one of the best doctors in San Fransisco. He's known to get everything done. No, he hasn't found a cure on cancer, but he's intensively searching for one.

Ethan nods, for the first time in about one and half years he has tears in his eyes. He's very happy that his family cares for him. He was afraid they forgot about him, but they didn't.

"Speaking of Miguel, Alec, Austin and the twins are worried sick about you. You should call them, maybe introduce Blake." Evan adds and lets go of Ethan.

Ethan nods, "yeah, I'll do that. Guys I really missed you."

"We missed you too." The others say in union with a smile.

Ethan then gets up.

"Blake, you can come with me. I'll show you to your new room and maybe you want to change?" Isabella says, gesturing at Blake's dirty close.

Blake smiles shyly and nods, "that would be nice. Thank you."

The three walk upstairs. Blake and Isabella vanish into Isabella's room, Ethan's father instantly calls Miguel, Ethan's mother gets up and goes to her study to build a case on A.A. and Ethan takes a shower and smiles as he sees his room which was his safe place for so many years.

The doorbell rings and the six people get into a big car with Miguel in it. "I'm glad you're back Ethan. Austin missed his best friend."

"I'm glad to be back too mister Fianna." Ethan says while pulling Blake close. They cuddle each other and take in their warmth. Blake plays with Ethan's fingers as she lays against his chest.

They drive to a big hospital. The best in San Francisco. They all get out and het into the building. Miguel talks with the receptionist who then nods. He then takes everyone up to a floor. Mr. Fianna agreed on helping Ethan since he's one of Austin's best friends and Austin means a lot to him.

An hour later Ethan gets brought in the surgery room while everyone else waits in the waiting room.

"Are you sure?" Mr. Fianna asks, now wearing surgery clothes.

Ethan nods, "set me free."

Ethan gets sedated so he won't be awake while Miguel and five surgeons are busy on him.

The operation takes in total seven hours. One wrong move and Ethan could die. Yes he's a vampire and immortal but the device in his neck is attached to literally everything in his neck. His spine, his muscles, nerves etc. One tiny wrong move and the device defends itself, killing Ethan in the process.

Austin, Alec, Braxton and Will are also in the waiting room. They arrived shortly after Ethan was brought in to operate. Austin is pacing through the room.

"Austin... He'll be alright. You won't do yourself any good with worrying." Alec says.

"But what if he dies? Actually dies?"

"Your father will watch out for that to not happen."

Austin wants to reply but Alec gets up and lays his hands on Austin's cheeks. "It's alright ok? Come sit with us."

Austin sighs and nods before softly pecking Alec's lips. "Thank you."

Alec smiles at him and pulls him to the chairs. As they sit down he lays an arm around Austin.

Miguel walks out, clearly looking as if he was in a lot of stress.

"Is he ok?" Ethan's mother asks worried while she gets up.

"Yes he's fine. We got it out. It was connected to everything in his neck and fought back to not get taken out. If it would've been on, I think it could've controlled Ethan in a way."

Ethan's mother thinks and them smirks, "do you have it? It would help a lot. And I mean really a lot on the case I'm building."

Miguel nods and shows her a small jar with a silver small chip and strings attached to it. Also covered in Ethan's blood. "Honestly. I've never seen anything like this... I have seen a lot but this? It even scares me. Oh and Ethan will wake up soon, you can go see him now."

Half an hour later, Ethan's eyes flutter open. He grunts a bit because of the light and slowly opens his eyes. He looks around with a bright smile seeing his family, friends and Blake. "Hey guys."
