It's Sunday, and I go through almost half the day with absolutely no contact from Jay. That's not like her. Maybe she was busy indeed last night. Could it be that Jake was over? I doubt it. She said it's nothing serious, and she wants to move slowly.

On a whim, I purchase tickets to the nearby theme park. I know Elsa will be all for it. I need a reason to show up and feel out Jay.

I drive over and pound on their door. Elsa opens it. As soon as she sees me, she flashes me that adorable smile of hers. I flip the three tickets, and she seems to recognize them. She grabs them, running to Jay.

Jay is in the kitchen. They probably just had lunch because she is wiping the counters, and I can see she just got done with the dishes.

Elsa is jumping up and down with excitement, and Jay is smiling excitedly back at her. I can see the love Jay has in her eyes for her. Elsa yells something and runs in the direction of her bedroom. I think she's getting a change of clothes.

Jay just smiles at me, but so unlike her. I walk over and hoist my body on her counter. She is cleaning right next to me, and when she makes to clean on the other side, I pin her with my legs. She has no choice but to stop. She grins up at me, but there is something going on. What went on last night?

"You ok?"

She turns facing me, "of course. Why wouldn't I be?"

"I was hoping you'd be the one to tell me that. What happened last night? Is it something from then?"

She wraps her arms around my body and smiles up at me in her usual way, but I can tell there is something she is hiding.

"I just had some things I had to sort out...for work."

I cock one brow at her, before spinning her around, climbing on her back.

"Well, forget work. We going to the park. Go get ready."

"Yes, mommy."

We both start laughing, and I slide off her back.

Jay walks off to go get changed, and Elsa bursts out looking so pretty, and maybe a little overdressed. I can't help but take her in my arms. I'm super happy she is in a good mood today.

"You so pretty. All ready?"

She twirls her finger around some strands of my hair, "I just need to get my bag."

I release her, "bag for what, cutie?"

She looks at me like I shouldn't even be asking that question, "there is a water slide there. I have my bathing suit."

I don't get any reply, because she skips off to get her bag. Truthfully I'm glad she did. I don't know how to respond. I didn't stop to think this through...clearly. I forgot all about water and water slides.
I sit on the arm of the sofa, feeling a bit frustrated with myself.

"Don't worry. It will be fine. I'll be there."

Jay's voice brings me out of my thoughts. I just look at her and smile. I don't say anything, because Elsa is already making her way to the door.

We get to the park in about half an hour. It's not too far away. Elsa did most of the speaking on the way. Countless times Jay had to remind her to stay seated. She is thrilled at the thought of the park.

We enter, and we walk around. Elsa is getting on almost every ride in her path. We would stop, and chat while she would have a go. We entered two with her, which was when I noticed Jay is in shorts again. I hate to admire her, but I have been. She looks so different, but in a very good way, in shorts. She is even wearing a straw hat to block the sunlight. So very different today.
