Chapter 8

A/N: Heyo, just saying I will be going off the MANGA of Black Butler but only going to do season 1 of it, so yeah, just a heads up!

Cheryl's POV~
I woke up in middle of the night by Ciel, saying he wanted to apologize and do something that we did when we were younger. Sleep in each other's beds. I let him, since I wanted to get more sleep and remember how it was like in our childhood again. I pulled my covers so he could get in, and he climbed into my bed and snuggled up against me, like how we did before the incident. We both knew that once it was morning, this feeling would be gone, the feeling of our past.

3 Years Later~
Time Of the Storyline Starts~
Cheryl's POV~
It's been 3 years since that incident and my brother has been assigned the position of the queen's guard dog, but I knew the truth of him only being there because of being the replacement of our older brother. I knew how that felt, since my old life, when I was still Aline, I had an older twin, also identical. Her name was Brigit, the better twin, the more praised twin, the one not hated for just being there and doing nothing with their life. I was just there, like being a shadow to her instead.

I've grown more emotionless from that time and another thing is that my old handmaid, Sahaana, came back and worked for us again. That happen and Tanaka, the old house Steward, also came back to work for us. Then Ciel also hired three new people to work at the manor. They all are terrible at their jobs. There is Bardroy, the cook. Then Finnian, the gardener. And last but not least, Mey-Rin, the maid.

I always had my stuffed fox with me everywhere since kept me calm, and it's one of the few things we had from our parents. Now I usually help Ciel with his cases since I had high intelligence for my age and wanted something to do. Since it's getting closer to the actual storyline plot, I can help him out even more since I knew everything that was going to happen. Right now, I was in the library, reading a book. Also since I knew Sebastian was a demon, I also told him to take my soul after he completed his contract with Ciel. I didn't want to be left alone in this world as the only Phantomhive left so he agreed. We never told Ciel about this agreement though.

The queen knew me since I was part of the Phantomhive family, and I was also put as the queen's fox, since of my high intelligence, it also kept me busy. My coronation happened about half a year after Ciel's. Ciel objected a lot but then accepted it after a small while since he knew I could do things without him being there by my side all the time. I now spend time in my room, working on paperwork and sometimes helping my brother run the Funtom company that we owned. I also worked on cases with my older brother as we were siblings and we didn't want to be separated. The queen allowed this and we've been busy ever since 2 and 1/2 years ago.

Now, I was called into my brother's study since we had a new case to work on. We both got a letter from the queen about it and it was called the 'JACK THE RIPPER' case. I knew who was the culprit already and decided not to tell my brother since he should be the finding this out, but I'll help him along. I walked along the hallways with Sahaana trailing behind me, walking towards Ciel's study. I reached to knock on the door and knocked, waiting for my brother's silent 'Come in' to go inside. He did so and I opened the door and walked inside.

We discussed the case for a little, then Sebastian came in, telling us it was time for dinner. I gave him a small glare for interrupting my time with my now only older brother. But otherwise, Ciel and I walked down to the dining room for dinner.

Sahaana and Sebastian brought in dinner and it was neatly fried salmon seasoned with spices(duh) and served with tomatoes on the side and for a drink we had lemonade. For dessert, we had chocolate lava cake.

Ciel and I didnt show any emotion as we ate but my eyes lit up at the sight of the chocolate lava cake. Ciel snickered as my excitement and I glared at him.

We finished up and then went back to Ciel's study to discuss the case again. I found out that Aunt Ann or Madame Red and one of Ciel's business partners or case helpers, Lau and his 'sister' Ran-Mau were coming over to talk about the case tomorrow.

I agreed to help him out about since I was also partnered up with him. No one knew about me except very few people who were trusted by the queen and the Phantomhive family. I told him that I was going to retire for the night and went back to my room. I called Sahaana over to help dress me and I went to bed.

In the middle of the night though, I had a nightmare about our parents dying again so I rush over to Ciel's room and woke him up, asking him I could sleep with him in his bed. He agreed since he wanted to take care of his little sister. I jumped in his bed and cuddled with my older brother. We fell asleep again but with each other in our arms.
