Chapter Five : Sleepovers & accidents

It was Friday already and the week by so fast.

Maya's POV

It was Friday and i was kinda excited to go to Riley's sleepover. I had my last class which was art. My art teacher Mrs. Bimp told me i drew a really inspiring drawing. I was delighted to hear that. Glad i can do one subject right.  The bell rang abd i went back to my locker. Lucas was there , i opened my locker and looked overat him he was smiling at me. I felt a rush of happiness flow over me.

Lucas Pov

Maya came over to her locker which was right next to my locker i was so glad she was my locker buddy.

Riley's POV

The guys and Maya were going to be here any minute. The buzzer buzzed and i was suprised it was Maya. I would've thought she was one of those Fashionly Late People. I let Maya in. "Hey Maya , im so glad you could come!!" "Me too" maya said.

Then i heard the buzzer buzz again. This time it was Lucas. I opened the door for him. He came in and spoke , "Hey Riley" He looked around and saw Maya sitting my the window. "Hey Maya" he beamed. "Hey Lucas" beamed back Maya.

Somethings going on and i dont know what.

Then i heard Farkle knock outside the Door. I let him in and said hi to him in my warmest smile.

Maya's POV

Everyone got the sleeping bags in place and Riley put on a movie. We watched Lady and the Tramp and Planes. After that we started playing truth or dare.

I was first. I asked Riley truth or dare she picked dare. I dared her to order a pizza and give the wrong address. She did it. Haha. Then Riley asked Farkle and he chose truth. Riley asked Farkle how many girls has he ever dated?? Farkle answered with 4.

Farkle asked Lucas  , Lucas answer dare. Faekle dared him to put peanut butter in his hair. Lucas did it. I laughed so loud,  it was so funny .

Then Lucas asked me  , i chose truth. I was not expecting what i heard. He asked me what ocupation had my parents.

I felt like i had just been stabbed. I didnt live with my mom or dad. My mom got some acting job  in California  2 years ago and just left. My dad walked out on me 8 years ago. I ran  straight to the bathroom. Tears were already streaming down my face.

Lucas POV

Oh no why did i ask that?? I made Maya cry. I never meant to do that i feel so sorry for her. I looked at Riley & Farkle. They just stared at the floor saying nothing. I really screwed up this time. I went to the bathroom to see if Maya was ok.

I knocked on the door and she opened it after a few seconds she had mascara running down her eyes. I pulled her in for a hug and let her cry into my shoulder.

I then broke the hug and told her "Maya im really sorry i shouldn't have asked that , please forgive me". " i...its o..ok you..you di..didn't me...mean i..it". We stayed like that for a few minutes. Then we walked back into the living room to join Riley and Farkle. They looked at me and gave me an 'is she ok' look. I mouthed "not really give her a little bit of space".

For the rest of the night we justed talked about school stuff and got to sleep. I couldnt sleep thinking about Maya's situation.
