Then Brand came down stairs, all ready to graduate. Oh my, Brandon you look perfect. Mrs. Walsh said. Thanks Ma. He said smiling. OK, time of pictures. She said. Awe, Ma not now. Mikey said. She said as they left the house. They made it to the high school, Brad saw Stef with Andy and he ran up to her. Hey, Andy Waite up. He said running to her. She walked away from him. Andy, Andy! I know Brandon, but what about us, being gone for three years, you'll be in the Navy, i'll be in music school, what if the long distance thing doesn't work? She said. That will never happened, will call each other everyday, will write letters, you can come a visit me for vacation, when i'm station in Italy, Rome, or Brazil. He said. Really, you do that? She said. Yeah, I love you. He said kissing her. I love you too. She said. Kids, kids come on the ceremony is starting. A teacher said as they went into the gym. Andrea Carmichael. He said as Brand got his diploma, his family cheered. Then they all went out to celebrate at Brand and Mikey's favorite restaurant, the all you can eat buffet. Later that night Andy had snuck out and went to Brand's house, she threw rocks at his and Mikey's window. Brand woke up, and saw her. Hold on i'll be out in a second. He said putting on his jacket. Brand, where are you going? Mikey said half a sleep. Nowhere Mikey, your have another stress dream. He said. Oh no, another one. Why does this keep happening to me? He said as Brand snuck out. By the time August came, Brand's family threw him a send off celebration for him going into the Navy. I still can't believe your gonna be gone for three years. Mikey said. Hey, don't worry about it Mikey, i'll be out when your graduate. He said ruffling his hair. He saw his mom bring out the cake, it had a ship on it with the words, We Will Miss You Brandon on it. Ma, you shouldn't have done all this. He said going up to her. We just want everyone to know how proud we are you, and we're gonna miss you. She said hugging him. I'm gonna miss you too mom, it's only three years, i'll be back before you know it.
