"So you're sure it was Dire? And Eurasia?" Hoary questioned me.
"For the fiftieth time, yes!" How were they so unable to understand that Eurasia and Dire were behind all of this?!
"Sorry Cori, it's just really unbelievable to imagine that they really want us dead." Fennec seemed really worried at this point, which made sense, these was all happening really fast.
Darwin attempted to calm us all down, he was right about one thing, we can't do anything without getting into danger and having just gotten here, it wasn't a really good idea to risk this much.
"Let's just focus on classes and getting this done, okay?" Hoary sighed, gesturing to the bathroom floor.
"I guess... I guess you're right." I reluctantly agreed, "let's just get this over with."

A month passed as if it was nothing. Despite my mild attempts to get more information, we got no more news on the Dragons as well as Eurasia and Dire. I was noticing one thing though, specifically in The Study of Predators and Prey, while we are human hybrids, the food chain plays a part in our natural fear of each other. Which honestly just sucks. Eurasia and Dire still believe themselves to be so much better and stronger than me, Hoary, Darwin, and Fennec, and then there's the worst part, the part where the foxes are the predators. There were so many incredible people who would be considered my "prey" and it's the worst!
For example, Pygmy and Trochilidae. Two of my classmates who are the sweetest people I've ever met, Pygmy's the one who ran into me on our first class when we were trying to transform, and she is terrified of me. Pygmy is a hybrid of a pygmy rabbit and Trochilidae of a hummingbird, I never get to talk to them since they refuse to even look at me since I'm a fox, and it's so difficult! Why can't Pygmy just talk to me already! Stupid her with her stupid dusty brown pixie cut, and her stupid electric blue eyes, and her stupid floppy ears, and her stupid wide frame glasses, and wow I didn't realize I knew all of this.
But that's not the point, after all of this time Fen and I still haven't even met our dorm neighbors, we really suck at this dorm life.

Fen and I were both sitting on our love seats ("just for our 'boyfriends'" as Fennec said earlier), Fen was complaining about being single again when I got a little pissed and cut her off.
"What about Darwin?" I asked.
"What about him?" Fennec straightened up drawing both Snow and Alfie's attention.
"What do you mean 'what about him'?! You were literally making out with him on the first day!" I shouted.
"Yeah! But I don't think he likes me back!" Fennec defended.
"You-you kissed, on the FIRST day, and now you don't think he likes you?" I was honestly just confused now, "how do you kiss a person you don't like?"
"I don't know, ask Darwin!" Fen shouted.
"You should be the one to ask him, I didn't kiss him!" I threw my arms in the air out of frustration.
"Oh yeah?! What about you and Hoary, huh? You told me that you liked him on the first day, and now you have made ZERO effort to get with him." It was obvious Fen was just trying to change the subject, but she was right. On the first day of school I was head over heels for Hoary, and now he just feels like... my brother.
