Yellow turned quickly on her heels and walked away from the room. She almost broke into a sprint, not knowing where to go. She was hurt, angry and most of all she felt betrayed by the gem she thought she knew, through and through.

Blue placed her Pearl on her own two feet and rushed after her lover. She could hear the quick clicks of Yellow's boots not too far ahead of her. She stopped and listened when the tapping stopped. She searched through the base until she came upon a figure leaning against a pillar on the balcony.

"Yellow?"

"Go away, Blue." Yellow stated dryly.

Blue took a step towards the larger gem and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Yellow, please let me explain." She begged.

Yellow punched the railing on the balcony and turned to her mate. "Explain what, Blue? Explain how you were able to give birth to a servant but can not bare our children?"

Blue took a step back as tears welled up in her eyes. "It was not my choice!" She fired back. "White forced me!" She said falling to her knees as she cried.

Yellow looked down at the smaller gem and felt her own tears falling down her cheeks. "Blue, why didn't you tell me?" She said in a softer voice.

Blue looked up at her wife as she painfully held her stomach. "She said if I carried my pearl in my own body, she would be perfect. She would follow my every command without question." She cried. "When I was half way through the term, I got very sick. My body was rejecting my pearl. I had to have her removed from my body and placed into the ground to finish forming. When they removed her, they damaged my body. That is why I could never bare gemlings again."

Yellow looked down at her mate. "Y-You told me your scars were from battle." She choked out.

"It was a battle. A battle for my life and my child's life. She was made from me and me alone. She is a part of me." Blue cried.

Yellow shook her head. How could White do such a thing? Why would she do that to a newly born Diamond? "Blue, I'm sorry. I-I..." Yellow fell to her knees in front of Blue and wrapped her arms around her wife's neck, holding her tightly.

The two gems cried together. Until a soft voice broke the silence. "My Diamond, White has requested a video conference with Yellow Diamond." Blue pearl's soft voice was barely above a whisper. She was shaking where she stood, scared that the larger gem was going to shatter her.

Yellow looked at the little trembling pearl and sighed. She looked down at her mate, tears still streaming down her face. "If I don't go, she'll know something is wrong. I will handle her for now, but we need to tell her soon."

Blue looked into her mate's loving gaze and nodded. She knew the sooner they told White about Marcus the better. She shifted her stare to her trembling Pearl. She reached a hand out to her, asking her to come close.

Yellow watched as the trembling Pearl walked to their place on the balcony. Yellow raised a hand to the pearl and watched as she flinched. "Don't be scared Pearl." She said in a calm tone. Yellow removed blue pearl's hair and gazed into her eyes. She saw Blue's own eyes staring back at her, knowing everything Blue had told her was the truth. "You have your mother's eyes." Yellow commented before lifting herself off the ground. She helped Blue up and gave her a quick kiss to the cheek. "I won't be long." She stated as she walked away.

Blue looked down at her pearl, her daughter, her Anastasia. "Now you know why you will only ever be mine." Blue whispered.

The little pearl clung to her Diamond's arm as she looked up at her. "You risked everything for a pearl like me." She stated in awe.
