After lunch, Kurogiri opened a portal to take Izuku to All For One's lab. Since Tomura was with him, Izuku asked him to come too.
Once on the other side, Izuku took a deep breath. He had begun to really like the strong smell of chemicals substances (probably toxic but those are just details) of the laboratory.
«Welcome back, Midoriya. I see you brought Tomura with you.» All For One said. Izuku nodded with a smile. «I'd rather be called Izuku from now on, Sensei.» All For One nodded and smiled, then he headed for Shiro's tank, followed by the two boys.
«I want to congratulate you, Izuku. You managed to perfectly turn that crow into a Nomu. I though you would've need more than just one tries before being able to succeed. You really surprised me.» He continued, then they all stopped in front of Shiro's tank and All For One pointed at a red button on the tank's control panel.
«This button here will drain all the liquid inside this tank and it will make it flow into some pipes. The liquid will then end up inside some containers which will freeze the substance into a sort of purple giant ice cube that Tomura will destroy with his quirk so it won't leave any trace.» All For One explained in his "teacher" serious tone, then he put a hand on Izuku's shoulder and the boy looked at where the man's eyes were supposed to be. «When I created the Nomus, I made it so that they would obey to every order Tomura would give them. Obviously they obey to me too since I'm their creator. In Shiro's case, instead, the only one who can order anything to it it's you, Izuku.»
Izuku turned to Tomura who smiled slightly, then the young boy walked to the button and he pressed it. As the purple liquid disappeared inside the plughole, All For One gave Izuku a protective equipment so that any of the toxic substances couldn't harm him.
As the glass walls lowered, Izuku walked toward Shiro, who remained motionless with its wings wrapping its body like a blanket. Izuku smiled, founding it cute, then he knelt before it. The crow opened its wings slightly, making eye contact with Izuku.
«Izuku, take off your glove but be careful not to touch anything, let Shiro smell your scent so he can recognize you as its creator.» All For One said. Izuku did as he was told without looking away from Shiro's eyes, then he slowly tended his hand in front of the crow's beak without touching it. The Nomu sniffed it, then he hesitantly leaned the beak against the palm of the boy's hand.
«Such a good pet are you, right Shiro?«Izuku said smiling. The boy put the glove back on then he took the Nomu in his arms and he happily walked to Tomura to show him Shiro, like a kid who shows his new toy at his older brother.
«Look, Tomura-kun! I have a Nomu too now! Isn't Shiro the cutest one?» As if trying to answer, the Nomu made a strange sound.
Tomura tried to hide his amusement by rolling his eyes. «Yes, I saw... but my Nomus are stronger therefore they are cooler!»
Izuku pouted and hugged Shiro more, faking to be offended, then the two boys laughed.
«Before you can take off your protection suit you have to wash Shiro.» All For One intervened. «Remember to wash your hands too.» Izuku rolled his eyes. «Yes, dad!»
The boy saw the pride in All For One's eyes as he said that, then he proceed to clean the Nomu (and his hands) and he took off the protective equipment.
«Does Shiro need food?» Izuku asked turning to All For One. The man nodded. «If it isn't in the tank, yes. You can ask Kurogiri to gave you some raw meat for it.»
Izuku smiled and told Shiro to jump on his shoulder. «I'll do it later, now I want to make a cover for its brain. I don't like to see it always out in the open, it makes Shiro look less cute!»
