Okay, to start off, I recently got back into writing (January of this year so not so recent) but I also got back into watching DanPlan. I initially stopped because I fell off of the fandom, but I've come back, mainly due to the overwhelming requests, I can't say this is long term, but I hope to at least reach 5 oneshots. I'm still taking requests, but I NEED settings, scenarios, etc. If you don't give me one, I can't write it, sorry. Without further ado, I present... This.

Stephen had been walking around his little town of Arroyo. His morning was normal, or, at least, as normal as one could be, waking up to everyone missing. At first, it was normal, nothing seemed out of the ordinary, sure, Dan, his roommate was missing, but maybe work demanded him be in earlier, and Dan never turned down the opportunity to make more money, it also didn't help that Dan was a suck up, and unable to say no to them. Stephen giggle snorted while he ate his cereal, something Dan would claim he found adorable, given Stephens broody attitude

"You're so cute when you do that!" Stephen could feel his cheeks flush in embarrassment

"And you're so annoying when you say sappy crap like that!" Stephen pouted, while crossing his arms, his own staple, a move that fit him so well, it was the closest one could come to seeing his true feelings. You see, Stephen was never one to wear his heart on his sleeve, Dan theorized that the day Stephen became an open book to him, was the day that the devil and god would duke it out on Earth personally, it was just that crazy of an idea.

Stephen found himself wallowing in distant memories. All those times he thought of belittling Dan, putting him down, and all he wanted to do was hug the hell out of him, he wanted someone to tell him that he wasn't alone. Stephen was never good at hiding his emotions, but one that somehow wriggled out of the clenches of his heart was his loneliness. Stephen was always alone, until he met Dan, he was convinced that no one would ever want to be around him. But Dan came along, and where Dan went, Hosuh followed. Stephen felt his face reddened at the thought of Hosuh, Hosuh had come straight out of High school, he was one year behind Dan and Stephen, but though he graduated, his loner self didn't. And boy, did it show. Ever since he met Hosuh, Stephen felt like he needed to show off, make dark jokes, make fun of Dan (within reason of course), hell, even self deprecate a little. Hearing Hosuh laugh was pure bliss, it was so perfect, like it was meant for him. But Stephen didn't like that, he hated these feelings that he got from Hosuh, they were new, and Stephen never did like change. Nevertheless, he couldn't stop himself from making Hosuh laugh, as if it were in his DNA, his instincts beyond his control.

He remembered when he asked Hosuh to join him at the local cafe, and how eagerly Hosuh agreed to it. It was too quick to be just a decent effort for the sake of a budding friendship. It almost sounded like... Relief. That whole night they were anxious. Hosuh was worried that he might say something bad, and ruin their plans. Stephen was worried that Hosuh would cancel last second. There were so many times that Stephen had been an afterthought. All those times where he cherished them, made sure they were the priority, that everyone was fitted in after them. But that whole night, up until he closed his eyes, he had been scolding himself, about how Hosuh had been different, he must have been. But here he was, sitting in a cafe, where he was supposed to meet Stephen. He checked his watch 12:00 PM it beeped back at him, unmistakable. It was their time, the first time going out, but here he was, alone, an outcast, a sore thumb. Hosuh wasn't here, and deep down inside, Stephen knew that Hosuh would never be here. He should have been happy, no more fake friends, no more pressure, no more repression, now, there was no one to judge him for being friendless... But in a way, that just made him feel so much more worse. Stephen left shortly afterwards, and in his mind buzzed around one thought

I'm going to give Hosuh hell for standing me up, he'll never hear the end of it.
