I woke up to a pounding headache as I recalled memories from the previous night. I don't know how to feel about the situation, although they have been nice to me I still did not know what to make out, out of them.

I went to the the dining room to be met with a chorus of noises. Feeling as if I was interrupting I turned to leave however...

"Kymani your awake. Sorry we didn't wake you." Shiro said calling out to me to come over.

"That's okay. So what do you normally do?"

"I supposed we could show you around but there are a couple of rules to follow"

"Okay just tell me cause I don't think I want to spend the rest of my days on my room"

"Well first rule is you can't go outside the mansion. Why? Because my killings may have gotten unwanted attention. We need to lay low. Second rule, I need you to learn the hierarchy. Last rule, don't go into locked rooms out of curiosity."

"What why would I need to learn the hierarchy for?" I asked confusion clear in my voice.

"Cause you'll need to know what is what and what to do in the presence of different people."

"Oh," I replied feeling dumbfounded

"Come on. I'll show to the library first then around the place," Amara said dragging me away.

Shiro's pov

"You have to be more careful! You've attracted to much attention. If they find out about her we're goners." Raykee one of the Amilee said.

"I know what I'm doing alright," I said frustrated, "I've covered my tracks"

"You didn't cover them enough. There are beasts out there who saw the girl."

"That isn't possible," I stated

"Then how do you explain the fact that there are rumors going around!" Rakyee growled as he banged his fist onto the table.

"I used the cloak no would have seen anything."

"Well then boy you better start watching where you step or it's gonna be a blood bath."

Sighing, I nodded before getting up and walking away. I really need to start planning.

Kymani's pov

I gasped as I took in the massive bookshelf's in the library it looked brilliant. It was styled in an old-fashioned way which made it feel homey. As I looked around for a short while, I saw hundreds of books lined up but what had caught my attention wasn't the books. It was the carvings, symbols, and statues. They had an odd feeling to it.

Turning around the corner, I felt a soft cold breeze causing me to shudder. I turner to be met with a tall statue. It seemed to be emotionless and was staring ahead. I went closer to inspect it for any cracks that would have caused it but found nothing.

"Hey Mani are you done checking the library yet there's still so much to see."

Cause me to jump back in fright.

"Yeah I'll be there in a minute," I replied while letting my heart beat slow down.

"It's cool if I call you Mani right?"

"Yeah. Totally," I said nodding.

"Amara do you think there are any secret passageways here?" I asked still wondering about the statue in the library.

"Not that at know of. Why?"

"No reason."

The day carried on with Amara telling me about the place. Before I was finally met with a frantic Shiro and Bane.

"What happened?" Amara and I both ask at the same time before a loud booming crash was heard.

"No time to explain just run and hide!" Bane screeched before running of with Shiro.

My body was moving before my mind even registered what was happening. Then every thing went black.
