Chapter 5: Lovely Isn't It

Me and Darren were sitting outside in the school field. It was a beautiful day, however Darren's reaction to having to help me was anything but beautiful. In fact it was quite funny. So far he has just been looking through the history book. Not one word was uttered, in the last few minutes. He wasn't even sitting close to me.

" Darren your supposed to be helping me." I scooted closer to him, and in turn he scooted farther away.

" You should be smart enough, then again maybe not." I balled my fist, his attitude was horrible I would enjoy breaking his heart. I was falling behind on my plan, I would have to start it now.

" Why do you hate me so much, a few weeks ago you were fine with me." I stood up, and he did to.

" I see right through you Nikita, I know what you've done to your past pack members." He shot me a murderous glare.

" Do what?" Now I was the clueless one.

" My father told me what you did, it's a wonder the school doesn't know."

" I did nothing." I snapped, his father. Even the mentioning of his name made my blood boil.

He laughed darkly, and walked closer to me. " I wouldn't call killing your pack members who quit your little group, nothing."

" Killing them, I would never." A growl escaped. His father must be feeding him lies, of course that was why he was avoiding me. Damn his father set my plan days back.

He walked up closer to me and since he was taller than me he had a more intimidating edge. I looked at his grey eyes, which have turned into a smoky dark color. This was the perfect opportunity. 

" Nikita you are dead to," Before he could finish his sentence, I leaned up and kissed him. Our lips moved in sync. I looked up at him again. His face a mix of pleasure and shock. I touched his face gently, his breath hitched.

" I'm sorry Darren." I whispered to him, then I ran away. 

That kiss with Darren made me feel nothing. There were absolutely no sparks. I felt happy, part one of my plan was complete. The kiss was good, Darren was a good kisser, and breaking his and  his dad's heart would be good. My mother was right, love is pointless. I leaped on to my motorcycle and rode home. I felt it was time for me to relax, the past week I have been training like crazy, taking care of rouges, and finishing schoolwork. It was time for celebration. I unlocked the door and went straight to the couch. 

" Why are you so happy." Kara looked at me, I usually did not show much joy.

" I just completed something."

" Did you finally beat that angry bird level?" I glared at her, unlike me Kara was pretty good at that game. 

She laughed, " Just kidding, well me and the girls will be going out to eat wanna come?" 

" Na I'll stay home."

" Alright then."

Ten minutes later the house was empty, after 15 minutes of relaxing I turned off the TV and went straight into revenge scheming. I knew Darren was being lied to by his father. I would never kill any of my pack members, if one of them did decide to quit I would just let them go. I knew all of them could be replaced, there was no point in killing them. Nor would I ever want to. 

The rest of the week I completely ignored Darren, when he would try to talk to me I gave him the silent treatment. It was actually perfect because it fit exactly into my plan plus it was payback for him ignoring me. After a few days of ignoring him, it was time for phase 2. I looked up at the house in front of me. Figure's this is where he lives, he was an alpha after all. The house looked like one of the houses on a home magazine. I looked at the camera on my phone, my face had the perfect sad expression. Show Time.  I walked up to the porch and knocked on the door. I was 100 percent sure this would work. I knew Darren liked me, how he reacted to the kiss was a sure sign. I also made sure his parents weren't home, and Darren was home alone. Him alone, that was the crucial part.The door opened and there was Darren, gorgeous as usual, his hair was messy. Which made him look more adorable. When he saw me his mouth dropped. He quickly closed his mouth, and his face became hard. 

" Hi Darren." I said softly, giving him a small smile that I practiced.
