Autumns POV (Auttie) pronounced ( Awe-ttie)

The adrenaline was rushing through my veins. My left hand clutched the wheel, while my other on the gear shift. The flag lady came out and stood inbetween the cars. She waved the flags and we were off.

I felt my heart race, as I came up behind one of the other racers. I only had to pass him and I would win. I pressed the button on my steering wheel for the hydrongine tank to kick in, giving me an extra boost if speed.

I crossed the finish line first, and slowed down to a stop. The guy that I had just beat pulled up next to me and slammed his hands on the steering wheel in rage. He had just lost his car to me. Sucka.

I stepped out of my car, my black and blue Air Jordon high tops hitting the pavement benieth me. My team came running up to me and congradulated me for my win. For I just won against the best street racer in east side Chicago.

I smirked and sauntered over to the guys car, whose name was Mitch Murphy. He glowered at me as he leaned on my new baby.

"I believe that this baby is mine now. Hand over the keys, Murphy." I demanded. He growled lowly in his throat and chucked the keys at my face, which I caught with ease. As he stalked away angerily I yelled out to him, "No need to be a sore looser!" without turning to me he gave me the bird and shouted, "I'll get you back bitch! Count on it!" I merely rolled my eyes at his threat and turned to my new sick ride.

Kyle Prolly, who works at the garage with me, and just so happens to be one of my best friends, came up to me. He picked me up off the ground and spun me around in circles. I I squealed like we were little kids again and laughed.

I have known Kyle since we were in dipers. Our parents were really good friends, until my parents died in an auto accident when I was 7. The Prollys' took me in then and raised me from there.

When I was 16 I decsided I wanted to liv on myown and had myself emancipated. I go a nice apartment only two blocks away from the Prollys' house so I could come over whenever I wanted and didn't have to walk/drive far.

Kyle put me down, and engolfed me into his arms. "Great job, Auttie." I pulled out of his arms and smiled at him. "Thanks. Let's go collect my money." I walked up to the guy with the prize and he congradulated me, and handed me the prize money of $15,000. I was pretty well off, as you can see. And working at the Prollys' garage helps pay the bills too.

I walked over to my two babies, and thought of something. I wasn't going to be able to take both of these home. Kyle came up from behind me and grabbed my old babys keys from my hand, and smiled. He came here with me so he would drive m old baby, so I could drive my new one.

I smiled back at him. Then, all of a sudden, someone in the crowd yelled "COPS!" Ahh shit.

The sirens blared as cop cars turned on the dark street. I yanked the car door open and jumped in. I started the car and was off. Kyle was next to me and rolled down his window and I did the same. There were two cop cars chasing us. "We need to split up!" I yelled. Kyle nodded and turned the next sharp turn, causing one cop car to follow.

'I've got to loose this guy.' I thought. There was no way I was going to end up in jail again overnight. No fricken way. I had two other hydrogine tanks but I didn't want to use them unless I had to. I rounded a bend, and the loud speaker on the cop car behind me anounced, "STOP! PULL THE CAR OVER AND GIVE UP!" psshh. Yeah right dude!

I looked out my heavily tinted windows and saw that there was another cop car along side me. There was an intersection up ahead. I turned my wheel to the right, but then to the left, faking them out, causing them both to go flying around the right turn. I laughed and sped on. Making sure that no one was following me in the process. Nobody was.

I made my way back home to my apartment building and to the garage. I parked my new car in the usual space, and saw that Kyle had brought my other one back, sitting in the space next to my usual one. There was a note in the window that said,

Auttie,

You sooo owe me. See ya tomorrow.

Kyle

I rolled my eyes at Kyles note and went inside. I walked up to the top floor of the 6 story apratment building. I walked to my room, and unlocked the door. I was greeted by my two dogs Faylin, and Fendie.

Faylin was a rotwieler, and Fendie was a pitbull. They were both sweeties, but if they ever sensed danger then off with your head.

Faylin was really big. Bigger than the usual pure bread rottie. She was tall, and lean, and scary looking when need be. Fendie was really big to for a pitbull. She was very muscular like most pitbulls. She didn't really have an unusual height for a pitbull but for some reason she just looked bigger.

I commanded them to the hallway so I could take them outside to do their business. I didn't need leashes for them, but I had them anyway.

I let them outside in the back, where it was acually kind of grassy. I let them do their thing and cleaned up after them. We went back upstairs to the apartment, and they stopped at the door waiting for me to unlock it for them.

I let them in and shut and locked the door behind me. My apartment wasn't really small. In fact it was quite big. I had a living room that could fit a sectional couch and a comfy chair. A modern kitchen, with stainless steel Kenmore appliences, with black graneint counter tops and a hard wooden floor. A dining area, which I didn't even use in the first place. And down a little hallway was my bedroom, which was big enough to have a good sized walk in closet. And a bathroom next to my bedroom. Pretty nice for a 17 year old, eh?

I walked into my room, and changed into some athletic shorts that said 'Field Hockey' on them, and a cami. I walked out of my room and went to the kitchen. I looked in the fridge and made a mental note to go shopping tomorrow after school.

I grabbed a frozen dinner from Lean Cuisen and threw it in the microwave. I set up a tv tray in the living room and heard the beeping of the microwave go off.

I went to the couch with my dinner and sat down, turning on my 45 inch plasma screen tv. I turned it to TNT and started watching The Mentalist. I loved that show. After I was done with my dinner I cleaned up a bit and went back to watching tv. It was already midnight, and I must have fallen asleep, because I was being awakened by a knock at the door, and my dogs barking.

I commanded them away from the door, but they lingered behind me still barking. Who the hell is coming here in the middle of the fricken night? I looked into the peep hole and saw nobody I knew standing there. It was a total stranger.

"Go away. It's late, and I don't know who you are." I yelled through to door. I looked through the peep hole again and the guy just stood there, making no motion to move. I silently made the hand motion for my Fendie and Faylin to start barking. They stayed put and started barking their loudest barks. I saw through the peep hole the guy jump, startled. He looked both ways down the hallway and ran to the right. Idiot.

I gave Fendie and Faylin the hand signal to stop barking. I made sure the door was locked and made my way to the window facing to street. I saw the guy exiting the apartment builing. I wonder how he got in here. I didn't buzz him up, and he doesn't live here.....

He looked up and saw me looking at him. I gave him the bird and shut my curtains. I sleepily stumbled back to the couch and face planted onto a pillow and passed out, wondering who the hell that was.
