Autties POV

So Adain bascially had to drag me into the building, and I'm pretty sure we got some stares when I started screaming rape and kidnap. Adain had to cover my mouth because I was screaming it at the top of my lungs.

"Jesus Auttie." he growled in a whisper, "You're so damn loud"

I bit his hand, causing him to hiss and pull his hand back, "Damn right I'm loud."

We emerged from the elevator and he walked toward an office that said 'Special Agent Robert Cowell' on the door. Adain knocked first and walked in before waiting for an answer.

"Hey Rob. This is Auttie." the way he said my name made me think that they've already discused me before..... Great, now I'm a damn suspect.

"Oh, miss Autumn. Please sit." he said motioning toward a chair. He chuckled a little, "You young lady, have quite the rap sheet." he said taking out a file that I knew was probably mine. "Vandalism, drugs, street fighting, assult. But nothing for racing."

I stayed silent and glared over at Adain, who was standing in the corner with his arms crossed over his chest. "So, why do you think that is?" Cowell asked.

I smirked and shrugged. Adain shifted uncomfortably, knowing I was going to be a smartass. His fault for bringing me here against my will. "I don't know. I guess I'm just that awesome of a racer." I said with a smug attitude.

Adain looked down and shook his head, covering his eyes. Cowell looked at me and chuckled. He shook his head once and sat down infront of me on the edge of his desk, "So, Ms. Daniels, do you have any idea who could have, I don't know, committed these murders?" he asked. I think he was acusing me.

In all honesty, I had no idea but I didn't like the way he was talking to me, "If you think I have anything to do with these murders then you can go to hell. I would never kill anybody for the sake of winning." I stated, keeping my voice as calm as possible.

This is whe Adain stepped in, "Rob, she gave me a list of racers that are in gangs." he said giving Cowell the paper.

Cowell took the paper from him and looked it over, "Do you know anybody on this list personally?" Cowell asked.

That question took me by surprise. I mean, how do you know how to ask questions like that? But I knew that if I lied it wouldn't look for me in the end and I would become a prime suspect. I wasn't all to thrilled with being a suspect at all, so I nodded slowly.

"Who? Are they on the list?" Cowell asked. I took the listfrom his hands and studied it. I pointed to Kyles name, "He works in the shop where I work. He's my best friend."

Cowell pursed his lips, "How long have you known Mr. Prolly?" he asked.

"Ive known him all my life. Our parents were best friends before mine died in a car accident. The Prollys' took me in until I was 16." I explained.

"How long has Mr. Prolly been in a gang?"

"Hes been running with the gang since he was 14. I don't think Kyle is capable of doing this though. He wouldn't hurt a fly." Cowell nodded his head once, and walked around his desk to his phone. He pressed a button and spoke, "Carry, I need all the information you can get on Kyle Prolly ASAP."

"We'll see if he is as..... Cuddly, as you describe." he said with a smirk. I was beyond angry. I was fuming. This guy was enjoying this? People are dying, and I'm the next target and he's smirking.

"Do you find this funny, sir?" I asked in a mocking tone of voice. Adain took a step forward and opened his mouth to speak but I gave him the 'you speak, you die' look.

"No, I don't find this funny Ms. Daniels. I just think that your being a bit näive. Your friend, runs with one of the most feared gangs in Chicago. Do you really think that he would tell you anything about his business with them?"

Holy shit. How could I have been so idiodic and stupid? It's been right there, infront of me the whole time. How could I, of all people not have seen that?

"Yes, I think you know what I'm talking about now." Cowell said asthenosphere door opened. A woman in he thirties walked in with a big file in her hand. "Here you go Mr. Cowell." she said with a smile before walking out of the room again.

"Has Mr. Prolly ever alluded to you about anything that happens within the gang?" Cowell asked. I shook my head.

"Its looks as if he had you fooled for awhile then. He's been arrested for attempted murder, asult, but non of the arrests seem to stick. He must have a buddy on the inside getting him out of trouble. Autumn, you need to listen to me very carefully. Kyle Prolly is most likely the guy we are looking for. But he's probably not doing it alone. He's gotta have a buddy helping him. Adain here informs me that one day you parked your car and it had bullet holes and the back wind sheild was taken out. Do you know who it was that did that?"

I shook my head, "No, but I could describe him." I said. Cowell nodded, "Alright, we'll have. Sketch artist here tomorrow. In the meantime, you are not to be left alone. We will have some plain clothsman casing infront of your building, and a parol car checking in every once in awhile, but you are not to so much go to the bathroom by yourself. Adain, you are here by ordered to stay by her side until this case is rapped up. We need her alive if I want to devise a plan to catch these bastards."

I waved my hands infront of my face, "Whoa whoa whoa, that is totally un-neccisary. I'm fine by myself. I got my dogs and my own protection. I'm fine."

"Your own protection? I hope you have a license for your 'own protection.'" Cowell said raising his eyebrow. I shrugged and said, "Arrest me," with a snarky attitude. Cowell simply huffed and motioned toward the door for me and Adain to leave.

Once we were outside I stomped my foot in anger, "I am so stupid? How could I have been so blind. He was playing me, for the past 4 years!"

"Auttie, he's been fooling everybody. His parents, your friends at the shop. It wasn't just you."

"I know, but I am the closest to him out of everybody! If anyone should have noticed something it shouldve been me!"

"Listen, gang memebers are basically trained to not talk, or hint about their gang buisness. At all. If you talk, you die."

"This isn't even 'gang business' though. He just wants to get to the top, and with me out of the way, he can do that! I garentee he's had this planned for years, figuring out when the best time to pounce. He knew that I trusted him with my life. Looks like he was going to use that to his advantage." I said.

Adain and I got in the car and sped away from the FBI building. He sighed, "Auttie, listen to me. When you see him, you have to act like nothing has changed between you. Like you're still all buddy buddy. I'll be watching from a distance, or maybe up close, I don't know but you can't let him know you know anything. It'll just spook him, and make him act faster."

"Are you fucking kidding me? The guy is out to kill me, and you want me to stay all buddy buddy with him? Are you fucking insane?" I asked.

"Auttie I'm serious. You have to, or you and other people are going to die. No pressure or anything." he said the last part with a smirk.

I rolled my eyes, "Great. Peoples lives are in my hands. What a great feeling."
