An Outing

Later that night, Sonic invited me out to a nice dinner. A date, as some would call it. But I call it my personal Hell. Sitting with an intense narcissist for a whole night really wares you down, trust me.

We arrived at the restaurant, and we were immediately seated in a booth by a window. Sonic began checking his menu. The pink glow of the overhead lights shined off the laminated menus, shining into my eyes. I squinted, trying to read through the options. "What're you getting?" Sonic asked me, his green eyes locked on the menu still.

"A chicken burrito," I answered. "You?"

"A steak taco," he said. I hummed. A waitress came by our table and asked what we wanted to drink. We both said a water, she wrote it down, and walked off. "How was your day?" Sonic asked me, resting his elbows on the table. "I haven't seen you all day."

"Well, it consisted of doing an errand for you," I responded, an annoyed tone coating my words, "which had me walk to the store which is a forty-five minute walk from our house. So pretty swell," I rested my chin in my palm. Sonic bit his lip.

"I'm sorry," he said. "Next time I'll go with you, how's that sound?" I shrugged.

"Sure, I guess," I straightened up as the waitress came back with our waters. She asked for our orders and we told them to her. She thanked us and hurried off. "How was your day?"

"Pretty boring," Sonic sighed. "I didn't do anything important all day."

"You didn't clean up like I asked you?" I shot.

"No no, I did," Sonic rushed. "But...I didn't do anything majorly special," he fumbled with his gloves. I held my head up high, trying to see through the bullshit I assumed Sonic was pulling. "Alright, maybe I didn't clean up some parts," Sonic admitted. I rolled my eyes. Did I really agree to go out, just to get into a fight?

"It's alright," I sighed, "I'll do it when we get back home." Sonic smiled at me. He reached his hand across the table and I held his hand.

"Love you," Sonic whispered.

"Love you too," I whispered back. I picked at a loose string on Sonic's glove. As I looked in Sonic's eyes, something else green caught my vision. I glanced to the side to see the man I ran into. He was sitting at a table not too far from ours. My face warmed up. I quickly looked back at Sonic. He smiled lustfully. I glanced back at the man. He looked back at me, and as I locked eyes with him my blush grew. I quickly stood up. "I need to use the bathroom," I told Sonic. I hurried off to where the bathrooms were.

Stepping into the bathrooms, I took a deep breath. I walked up to the sinks and leaned over it, gazing at my reflection. I checked my blush, noticing it calming down. The bathroom door opened. I didn't pay any mind to it, until a familiar voice bounced off the walls. "Nice t' see yeh again," the man greeted. I whirled around, the voice catching me off guard. There stood before me was the man, standing in his tall green glory.

"H-hello," I replied timidly.

"Who were yeh with?" The man asked.

"Oh, uh...my b-boyfriend," I looked down at the floor. "I gotta go," I tried walking out. The man quickly approached me and blocked my way.

"Boyfriend, yeh say?" He questioned. I nodded hesitantly. He hummed. He grabbed my chin and tilted my head up to look at him. "I can change that~" he cooed. My blush deepening, I searched my brain for a response.

"Ch-change?" I asked, itching to leave back to Sonic. Oddly enough, I felt safe with him.

"Ye're not happy with him, are yeh?" The man pressed. "I saw the longin' look in yer eyes as yeh held hands with him. Yeh want someone who will excite yeh, no?" I looked away from him, guilty. The man smiled. He reached around and rested his hand on my back. I gasped slightly, his hand catching me off guard.

"U-uh..." I muttered. "I-" He cut me off with a deep, passionate kiss. At first I stared at him in shock, but then I kissed back. He pulled away, leaving me wanting more. With a sensual smile, he straightened up, leaving me with room to leave.

"I'll see yeh 'round," the man whispered. He left the bathroom. I stood against the sinks, my heart beating out of my chest. I took a few deep breaths and splashed cold water on my face.

"What just happened?" I wondered, walking back to my table with Sonic. When I arrived our food was already there, and Sonic was about half-way done with his meal. He looked up at me.

"Are you okay?" He asked me. "You took a while."

"Ah, yeah," I dismissed, "I'm fine." Sonic hummed.

"Whatever you say, edgelord," he shrugged, taking another bite of his taco. I sighed, sitting down. I began eating my food. Not soon after, we both finished. We payed for our dinner, and got up to leave. As we passed the man's table, the man pinched my ass. I yelped, quickly covering my mouth in embarrassment. I looked back at the man, who winked. Blushing, I grabbed Sonic's hand and rushed out of the restaurant.

I guess our feelings are mutual.
