After sleeping, I awoke with a giddy feeling in my heart, unknown to anyone who could only comprehend my exterior. I made quick work of changing my silk nightdress and into my clothes for work. A green, long sleeved, button down blouse and black strait cut trousers. And matte silver heels. Over this I wore a black blazer with silver trimming. I placed my wand (unicorn hair core and blackthorn wood) into my pocket. The embellished end sticking out of the inner pocket. The clear bulb filled with an artificial sky. Stars floating around within the transparent sphere. I smiled reminiscing about my family.

Suddenly I heard a knock at the door. I opened it to find Severus. I smiled at him, recieving somewhat of a smile back. We both walked to the Great hall together, side by side. I sat down at the teachers table - Severus to my right and Quirrel to my left. Something was off about him, something about him triggered my memories. The bad memories.

I quietly shook the thought away and focused my attention on the food before me. Various fruit and other breakfast items. I gratefully grabbed an apple as well as some grapes. I focused my food but let my mind drift off to Severus. I wanted to hold him badly. I wanted to kiss him and tell him how much I love him. But darkness was in the air. It was threatening me. I don't want to hurt him any more than I have.

Suddenly, a thought crossed my mind. What will I do during the day. The stars weren't out during the day.
"What am I going to do at daytime Severus" I asked him, not wanting to be bored.
"Well if you have finished planning lessons you could help me with potions lessons" my eyes grew wide, it was my joint third favourite subject, almond with defence against the dark arts and astronomy (obviously).
" I'd love that Severus" I smiled at him.

We were in his class in no time, the day passed fairly quickly, Severus repeating the same thing every lesson. Soon it was time for the first years to enter the class. I sat on one of the black chairs at the front of the room staring at them as Severus explained the rules once again.
"There will be no foolish wand-waving or silly incantations in this class. As such, I don't expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science and exact art that is potion-making. However, for those select few...
Who possess, the predisposition... I can teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses. I can tell you how to bottle fame, brew glory, and even put a stopper in death. Then again, maybe some of you have come to Hogwarts in possession of abilities so formidable that you feel confident enough to not pay attention! Mister Potter. Our new celebrity." I rolled my eyes and glared up at Potter. I noticed the smart muggle born gryffindor nudge potter, he looked up towards Severus.

"Potter" said Severus suddenly  "Potter! What would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?" I frowned, asphodel is a type of lily meaning 'My regrets follow you to the grave' and wormwood means 'absence' and also typically symbolised bitter sorrow. I now wished I had not read that book. Then my heart would not break as much as it was now. I had not heard Harry when he said he didn't know, my heart was breaking to much. I walked out my head down low as I muttered about my absence. I ignored Severus for the rest of the day, even when he tried to talk to me t dinner. I couldn't stand sitting next to Snape, instead I sat next to Minerva who gave me a sympathetic smile. I barely touched my food, only managing to swallow a few pieces of veg and one potato. I excused myself from the hall and made my way to my room. Unknown to me, a certain figure left the hall as well.  I slammed the door after I walked into my room, and here I am. Tears streaming down my cheeks. A knock sounded at my door, I opened it to find Severus staring down at me. I attempted to shut it but he rammed his foot into the door. I glared at him but reluctantly let him in.

"What did I do wrong Aurora, you have been avoiding me since we had potions with the first years" I looked at him, anger present in my grey eyes.

"Seriously Severus asphodel,  wormwood you were talking about Lily weren't you, after all this time, you are still in love with hurt. Even when I poured my heart out to you, I am still in love with you Severus, I just want you to love me back "

"I do love you too, I just got caught up in my words. Its his eyes, they're the same as hers. And after you left I realised the truth, I never loved her more than I loved you, that's why I gave you that ring " then I realised that he was telling the truth, that it was only me being jealous. I loved him more than anything. I looked up at him, with love in my eyes, seeing the devotion matched in his.

"I..."

"shut up and kiss me Severus", and he did as told. pulling me into his gentle embrace and capturing my lips in his. It started to get heated but a knock at the door made us break way, as well as the requirement for air. I opened he door to be met with the face of Albus, a faint blush dusted 58 my cheeks. He cleared his throat, trying to ignore the awkward situation.

"You two are in lookout remember"

"Of course Albus, we'll be on our way to the third floor now" Severus replied, keeping his calm composure. We headed to the third floor and stood guard of the doorway, not oblivious to the obvious growling coming from within.
