As I wait outside of the entrance to the third corridor, I continue to steal glances at Snape. Many of the times I looked at him, he looked at me, the devotion never leaving his eyes. It was getting boring. I decided to start a conversation with him.
"How are you feeling" I ask him, cursing myself in my head for the poor excuse of ice breaker.
"... Alright" he replied, taken aback by the sudden conversation. I looked at him, my heart warming slightly seeing his true emotions towards me. An awkward silence settled between us. It lasted what seemed like an eternity, but in reality only lasted a few short moments.
" I'm bored" I exclaimed, dramatically sighing. Sometimes I fall into a pit of immaturity.
" Seriously Aurora, you're bored, yet you are a teacher. Have you not met Granger, she's as boring as you get" this made me smile and laugh a little.
" True, it's hopeless teaching someone who already knows everything ". I rolled my eyes at her know-it-all nature. We both shared a smile. Suddenly we heard an impacient shuffle in the room behind us, and a not so subtle growl. We tried not to question it as we knew that Albus was trying to protect the stone. What I didn't know was why there was a massive growling beast behind that door. I felt myself growing tired, my eyelids started to feel droopy and a yawn escaped my lips. I gently rest my head on Severus's shoulder, being grateful for my height.
"Have you taught Potter yet Aurora" Severus asked me.
"Luckily no" I responded,"I can't handle the resemblance to his father, that filthy mu-" my attention was caught by a sketchy looking Quirrel appeared round the corner. My sudden stop made Severus turn his head towards Quirrel as well. He gave is a sly smile, his eyes glimmering with a disturbing familiarity. I held back my recognition in case Severus had not yet realised. I had heard of the dark magic of possessing people, mainly from my old 'buddies ' at the old death eater society but I had never seen it before. I made a mental note to research it before I jumped to conclusions. I looked up to Snape to see a thoughtful look in his eye.
" Is it just me or is Quirrel acting kind of odd?" I asked him, turning to face him fully
" No there is definitely something wrong with him, something dark" he said holding me close in a protective manner. It sounds clique but I felt truly safe I'm his arms. I positioned my neck to look at him. I stated at him with so much admiration and leant up to kiss him. He kissed me back sparks erupting at the place our lips met. We pulled apart reluctantly. I looked away and blushed. Even after all these years I still feel like a teenager. My heart skipped beats every time I saw him. I loved this man so much. Suddenly I heard footsteps and saw a mop of white hair. I walked towards the culprit, speeding up to catch up with Draco Malfoy. I held him by the shoulder and turned him around, embracing him in a tight hug.
" It has been a long time, hasn't it Draco " I asked looking into his eyes, a steely grey which matched my own and was inherited from the noble family of black.
" A...A..Auntie Aurora, it has been quite a while" (A/N Ok guys I have had some extensive research on cousins and people address their second cousins as niece/nephew for the younger ones and aunt/uncle for the older ones) I looked at him and giggled at him changing from flustered to holding an almost regal composture. Just like his father. I reminisced about the time his father tried to court me in my time at Hogwarts, my eldest brother Regulus threatened to hex him to the end. My other brother Sirius couldn't care less about me, being the lovely gryffindor he was, he despised me for being a Slytherin. I was drawn back to reality when Draco tried to get out of my grip
I released him from my hold and bid him good night. Seeing my nephew all grown up made me beam with joy. Last time I had seen him he was barely a child. I had bought him his first broom. I remembered him running up to me with a smile on his face. He took the present and had opened it excitedly, to the dismay of his father, I smiled at how happy he was. I miss my family and wish we could all be together again. But that would probably never happen.

I didn't realise that I was still on the cold, stone floor until I felt two arms wrap around me and pick me up. I was embraced by a calming warmth. I felt at home in these arms. I started to feel tired and Severus noticed.
" Get some rest Aurora, I'll continue to guard the door, you need your rest" he said kissing me promptly on the lips.
" Thank you Severus " I said with a yawn. And with one final hug from me I headed back to my quarters, which were adorned in green and silver as always. I fell asleep, peacefully.
