I walked with Ron to sit with Hermione. Hermione took in a deep, relieved sigh and said "So you two have made up, I see?" I nodded, wanting to eat. "Pretty much, it was a misunderstanding on my part and a little on Rosie's too. More so mine; at least I know what she was angry about," Ron said. I'm still a little ticked about him not asking me, but there is a lot of things I've seen in the past that correlate to this. Many situations where he brashly went into something because his mother, me, Hermione or anyone else he is close to said it was alright... except the Twins. The twins aren't exactly truthful 100% of the time. Sometimes they say yes to mess with you. Either way, Ron is nothing less than a follower so if someone says yes, he follows them.

I looked at my food, only taking a few bites. Hermione nudged me. "You okay?" She asked. "Um...yes. I think. How we made up brought up some...less than comfortable topics. That's all I wish to say, Mione," I explained. She nodded and Ronald whispered into my ear "D-D-Does she kno-know about M-Malfoy?" I shook my head. "What are you two whispering about?" I looked at Ron and then at Hermione. I took a breath and said "I wish not to explain anything more. Furthermore, I need to figure out a few things for the upcoming events. So, can we move on?" She blinked and she looked like she was going to cry. "Mione, What's wrong?" Ron asked. She said "Nothing! I just can't believe it! Rosie, you're using your head for once!"

Oh har har, my bucked toothed nerd.

I felt a shiver. It felt weird. Damn it, Draco. I looked up and there across at the Slytherin table was Draco Malfoy, his grey eyes on my figure. I tried not to look like his gaze affected me but I don't know if I won. Almost all my senses screamed to run to him. All but one, my common sense. Common Sense told me it is not at all wise to approach my rival of the past three years even though I know of our fate. I must see the signs for if he's willing to even be mine, which I highly doubt. I have no reason to think otherwise. I've gone over the list thousands of times in my head and I know my instincts will one day overtake me. I would rather be taken over by magical nature than appear to be nothing more than a winch who thinks she can have anyone as a friend or more when ever she likes just because she has Veela DNA. Or because she's the girl who lived.

He's looking away, finally. Yet I couldn't stop myself from observing the pompous git of Slytherin House that is my mate. He most definitely had an aura I had never felt before the night. It brought him higher yet darker. Not like I have much room to talk, Veela were considered dark among many creatures and Serpentine are more than dark, they're isolated. I continued enjoying my meal while I thought of possible outcomes for what could be happening.

Who knows what will happen...

"Rosie, you've been keeping your stare right on Malfoy for a good five minutes, what's wrong?" I blinked and laughed it off. "Oh nothing, just wondering why Malfoy hasn't been trying to make my situation worse. You know, like t-shirts or horrible buttons," I said. She looks thoughtful. "Yes, which reminds me... you think you could wear this for me?" Oh for Merlin's sake...

Hermione Jean Granger, my dear friend, has made something so out there under the circumstances of the wizarding world. She is highly against house elf labor. It is true that elves no longer need us to live, as with the extremely low necromancer count and the fact Theurgists have been more abundant since 1897, they could live through nature once again. If you do not know, Necromancy is the magic of the dead and Theurgicy is the magic of life.

Most just call it life magic and often the magical practice was overlooked until America went through a phase in both the muggle side and wizarding side. Or as they call them, 'No-Maj' which makes them actually sound like an intelligent race rather than an ugly creature you'd find in coffee mugs. Sure, it's not as creative, but it is straight to the point and clear for all to understand. Also, can you really say 'No-Maj' with a frown or with scorn? Try it. You can't can you? The 'Maj' in 'No-Maj' just makes you feel happy. Now say muggle. You can already feel the spite coming off your tongue even if you aren't against them, right?

Anyway, Hermione believes they shouldn't be enslaved anymore. I agree to a point. I think Elves in situations like Dobby and that elf that belonged to money-bet man at the tournament should be placed in better care. They're creatures with emotions and feelings. Some may be crueler depending on who they serve but abusive situations like that shouldn't exist. It reminds me too much of my own childhood, honestly. I was treated like one rather than a human being for many years until my Veela side arose.

When the meal was over I walked to the dorm, only to be to pulled aside by Fred. Where was George? They're always together... Hermione and Ron were confused as to where I went as well. Fred whispered "Shh... don't let them hear you." I looked at one half of the Weasley Twins with utter confusion. Once Ron and Hermione went ahead, wondering where in the name of merlin I went, Fred sighed in relief and said "I got so information for you, Rosie." I pursed my lips slightly and gave him a stink eye, wondering what he was talking about.

"My brother, the one who works on the Dragon Reserves, he told me and George the first trial of the tournament is. He's delivering it," he said with all seriousness. "Delivering... don't tell me..." I said, not wanting it to be what I think it's gonna be. "Yep, the first task is Dragons! Technically I shouldn't be able to tell you but the spell my brother used on the letter doesn't work on Veela, Kitsune, and Werewolves for some reason," Fred said. I smirk. How interesting, I think I'll use this to my advantage. Perhaps I should inform Cedric as well, I know the other champions aren't exactly with completely fair schools. Especially that Krum individual, his Headmaster is rumored to have once been a Deatheater.

Of course, I have no proof of that.

I walk towards the Common Room with newfound confidence. I know exactly where I'm going tomorrow, the Library. Perhaps some potions wouldn't be a bad idea either. I'll have to learn on my own; however, as I know Professor Snape isn't fond of me. If I'm lucky, I will run into Cedric and tell him what I know. Fred wouldn't lie to me about this, he knows what happened last time. Him and George smelled worse than skunk sprayed wet dogs for weeks! Oh, first year had its moments of fun.

Okay, now let's see if I'll bring in some people... heh. Also, I have two ideas on how the relationship for our two soulmates here start to get together.

A. They accidentally let the cat out the bag during the first trial when she gets hurt.

or

B. Draco convinces Snape to let Rosie use the Potions Lab after seeing her looking through potion books in the Library.
