The Party

  It's been a week since Celina came home and we're going to throw a welcome party for her.

She practically shares a closet with Lexi

Blake went back to college

She's warming up to me

None of our friends have met her yet but tonight we're all bringing 2 friends so she becomes an even bigger part of our lives

I'm bringing my friends Caleb and Ben,
Lexi's bringing Sofie and Eva, and Brice is bringing 2 of his buddies from college

Everyone is bringing a gift that a normal girl her age would have like a sweatshirt or makeup or something like that, we already got her a phone and a debit card. She gets a weekly allowance of 10$ that gets transferred directly to her debit card every Friday. It's only June so school's out and she hasn't had very many opportunities to socialize or make friends.

It's currently 4:07 P.M. and the party starts at 5:00 so Mom started cleaning, Lexi started making cake batter, Brice started decorating, and I'm in charge of keeping her busy so I'm at the mall with Caleb, Ben, and Celina. We're at Starbucks trying to convince her to let me buy her something, it doesn't even have to be from Starbucks!

We finally left and went to Urban Outfitters and she found 2 things I just knew she had fallen in love with: a tie-dye hoodie and a Polaroid camera. She refused to admit that she did because she knew she couldn't afford it with her 10$.

Before we knew it we were driving home to the party she didn't know we were throwing for her.

She opened the door to find 4 teenagers she didn't know, the people she'd been living with for a week, and party decor. She started crying tears of joy and hugged mom.

After we celebrated and everyone had gotten to know her, Celina had taken a liking to Sofie. I turned around only to see both of them in a contortion backbend, I didn't know she could do that but I already get creeped out when Sofie does it, I don't know how I feel about having a second Sofie living with me.

It came time to open presents and she got a laptop from Mom, a Camera from Brice, a Tie-Dye kit from me, a whole bunch of Sofie Dossi merch from Sofie, a hoodie from Ben, 50$ from Brice's buddies, Eva got her girl bathroom stuff, I don't know, Lexi got her HAIR DYE, and Caleb had gotten her ears pierced at the mall.

All our friends left so Celina, Lexi, and I got comfy on the couch and watched a few movies until Celina had fallen asleep and Brice had to carry her to her room.
