Sure, Ryan Blaney was my dad and all, but I had made a name for myself. I wasn't the son of Ryan Blaney, I was known as Noah Blaney. I accomplished more than my dad ever did in his first years of racing. Racing came naturally to me. I believed I deserved the best, and that's what I expected. I'd like to believe I was confident not cocky. A lot of people compared me to old Kyle Busch, confident, wasn't afraid to speak, aggressive racer.

"That 22 car looks good up in P1." Kennedy, my friend/teammate, comes walking up to me after practice.

"What can I say? It's only fitting my car is up there." I shrugged. "P2 not bad for you." I commented squinting up at the leaderboard.

"Summerlyn is third." He observed. "We got a pretty solid team this weekend."

"Hey guys." Theo Murphy strides up towards us. "I'm having a couple people over tonight for a fire. You guys are welcomed to come drop by. Also extended the invitation out to Summerlyn."

"You're serious right?"

"Dead." Theo replies. "See you later."

"What problem do you have with your sister again?" Kennedy asks. "I mean, I get a little sibling rivalry, but you seem to like hate her. All I see you two do is fight."

"She doesn't know her place. Honestly, dad is just keeping her on the team, because it's his daughter." I rolled my eyes. "He doesn't want her feeling left out. All she does is bring home wrecked cars and costs us money."

"That's true, but she's your twin. You gotta support her at least a little. She's trying her best. The cars are going to be better this season, maybe she will too?"

"Doubt." I walked out of the garage. "Hey Kianna."

"Hey Noah." She waved back.

"You got your eyes on Renner and Lynn? You got it bad man." Kennedy pushes on my shoulder. "Which one? Because if I were you I'd go for Kianna Renner."

"Why's that?"

"Beautiful, fit-"

"You think I'm all into looks? Because I'm not like that at all."

"That's the least selfish thing I've heard you say in all my life."

"When you got McKayla and Ryan Blaney as your parents? The one thing they teach you first is love and loving someone for the right reasons."

"Welcome fellas." Theo greets Kennedy and I as we approached his place. "Where's your sister?"

"Summerlyn is on her way with Stella." I commented, mentally rolling my eyes. Theo was cool, but I wasn't about to let my sister date him. I excused myself and went to go grab a drink with Brexton Busch and Keelan Harvick.

"You know we have to race tomorrow and if your-"

"And if my parents find out? Yeah, I've heard that one before. They've never found out and never will." I interrupted before taking a swig of beer.

"Really Noah? Why are you drinking? You know damn well we are twenty and not twenty one." Summerlyn whispers pulling me off to the side. "Mom and dad are going to kill you when they find out-"

"If they find out. Summerlyn, I swear if you tell them, I'll personally make sure your car ends up in the garage every weekend-"

"Whatever Noah, it's your life to ruin, not mine." She stated walking away towards Stella and Theo. The night pushed along and I kept my eye on Summerlyn and Theo. I observed them getting closer and closer as the night wore on.

"Anger is not a good look on you Blaney." A voice behind me said. "Penny for your thoughts?"

"Theo is a friend, but I don't trust him around my own sister. As much as Summerlyn annoys the hell out of me, I don't like seeing her get hurt." I responded, still not knowing who I was talking to. I turned to the side coming face to face with Kianna Renner.

"You two have a complicated relationship don't you?"

"Yeah, I guess you could say that."

"Well, I'm here whenever you wanna talk."

"I know I'm arrogant, cocky, and all that. I just feel like Peyton would be so ashamed of me. It was always Summerlyn and Peyton. Peyton was always proud of her, I never knew if she was proud of me, so when I entered racing-"

"You felt the need to push yourself?"

"Exactly. I felt like I needed to be more successful than Summerlyn in order to make Peyton proud of me. The wins, the sponsors they just started coming and I just got in way over my head."

"Well, I never knew your sister, but I'm pretty sure she'd be proud of you no matter what. For your sister, I think she's old enough to make her own decisions. You just have to be there when she falls."
