"As we all know the Blaney twins, Noah and Summerlyn, announced their Cup rides just last weekend. Noah said he will be bringing the famous 12 car back for Team Penske, the same number his dad drove. We all know the 12 car hasn't been on the track since Ryan's retirement. And Summerlyn threw us all a curveball and is sighed to Purdy Family Racing for next season. What do we think about the two biggest names' decisions?" An interviewer asks on Race Hub.

"I wasn't surprised that one, Noah in particular, sighed with Penske. One of them was going to carry on their father's legacy at Penske, bringing back that iconic 12 car. Summerlyn's decision definitely surprise me though."

"Same here. For me, it was in her best interest to pick either Blaney Motorsports or Hendrick Motorsports. I'm not discrediting Purdy Racing for anything, but they are lower funded compared to the big teams like BMS, HMS, Penske, SHR, and JGR. I felt like Summerlyn would have a clearer path to success if she would've signed with any of those teams."

"You have a good point, but I see where she was coming from in her press conference. Emma Purdy is only the second female to be in the cup series. She's won races and not to mention she's won championships. We all know Emma faced a bunch of challenges being a female in Cup. Emma and Chase Purdy did a tremendous job back when they were racing. I think perusing Summerlyn Blaney was a smart move. I think Summerlyn will be the boost their team and get them back in the championship picture. Summerlyn has really stepped up her game this season, and I think she'll do the same next year with PFR."

"And not to mention Penske, BMS, and Purdy Family Racing have an alliance."

"Next year will certainly be one to watch with the Blaney twins racing at NASCAR's top series with some of the biggest names."

The NASCAR world sure hadn't slowed down since Noah and I announced our Cup rides. My decision however started a lot of the talk around the fan base, media, and amongst all the cup teams. I sure surprised everyone with picking to drive for Emma and Chase Purdy, but I didn't regret my decision whatsoever, it's where I wanted to be.

"Let me guess, you're still listening to everyone's opinions." Theo sighs turning off the TV as he walked into my office at BMS. "You don't have to listen to all that shit. You made a great decision."

"I know, but I already knew what people were going to say. So, it's nothing new and nothing I can't handle." I replied. "What are you doing here? I thought you had meetings?"

"They all got pushed to next week for some reason." He shrugs. "But it was a meeting about a contract, so pushing it back makes me kind of nervous."

"They'll be crazy not to sign you back. And once you win that championship, you'll have every team knocking at your door."

"Gosh, means so much that you believe in me." Theo jokes.

"I'm serious Theo."

"I know you are, I was only kidding. It's going to be a tough battle though. I honestly didn't believe I'd get another chance after the whole Busch fiasco." Theo shrugs. "Anyways, you wanna go to lunch?"

"Yeah, I need to get out of this office."

"What are these?" I questioned as Kianna set down a pile of papers in front of me. I picked them up and started to look through them.

"Contracts." She replied.

"For?"

"You're really that clueless? Noahhhhh-" She laughs sitting on my chair's armrest. She points out something on the pieces of paper. "Read that out loud."

"Xfinity contract." I read. "Wait- you, woah woah woah-"

"Took you long enough!" She rolled her eyes.

"Babe, you have like three contracts here!" I exclaimed.

"And that's why I want you to help me. I want your opinion on some of them." She commented. "Especially this one. This is a great contract, but I wanted your opinion before I made my final decision." She adds pulling out a Joe Gibbs Racing Xfinity contract. "I know the history your family has with the Busch family back then and now-"

"Kianna, don't let my family's issues with Busch conflict with any decision. If it's a good contract and if it's where you want to be, I fully support you. I'm not gonna lie Joe Gibbs is an amazing place to be and they'd be lucky to have you." I smiled up at her. "I may not like Kyle or Brexton Busch but they do have one hell of a race team."

"Look at you being the bigger man." Kianna smiles down at me messing with my hair. "Proud of you."

"Well shucks, thanks." I cheekily smiled back at her. "Am I at least cute?"

"Now you're just finishing for compliments." Kianna rolls her eyes. "I'm not letting your ego get too high Blaney."

"Hey guys." Summerlyn waved standing at my door. "Theo and I were just about to get some lunch. You two wanna join us?"

"I'm always hungry," I commented. "What do you say?" I asked looking at Kianna.

"Yea, we'll come. I don't want this one getting too grumpy."
