ALARA

"How do we even know if shes real?"

"So you're saying we should take that chance of her not being an innocent human and kill her?!"

"We'd be doing her a favor anyways."

"It is not our decision to decide whether she lives or not Kelly."

"Have you forgotten all morals and structure of law don't exist here. If I want to kill her I will."

"We're not killing her. End of discussion. Both of you."

The voices surrounding me began to pick up in volume and I groaned in pain, my head burning and my bones aching.

"Fuck."

I pried my heavy eyes open, shielding my eyes from a bright light that shone directly above me. I tried to lift myself off the bed, though I wasn't able to. I looked down to find my wrist in restraints. I started to pull against them wanting to get out.

"Right.. like I didn't hear you talking about killing me."

Her face flushed and she turned away from me, rolling her eyes.

"Harry you should show her around, while we get this place cleaned up." The older woman sighed heavily and took of my restraints. I rubbed at my sore wrists and sat up, cursing under my breath.

"This is the cafeteria, the food isn't ideal but it's the best we have in here." I watched as the teens working in the back kitchen stared at me. Most gave me a small smile while the others stared emotionlessly. I wrapped my arms around myself and quickly directed my attention away from them, becoming uncomfortable at the oh so welcoming energy.

"Cmon," I looked up at Harry who was already a good few steps ahead waiting, he glanced over at the kitchen squinting at the workers, "dont about them, a lot of them have been here for years, when it's like that you see and experience things that ruin you."

I nodded my head in understanding. "How long have you been here."

"Awhile." He said shortly, mood turning sour. I wanted to frown in frustration but I realized he's probably apart of the few who have been ruined.

We eventually circled back to the cabin, I sat down at the porch steps and sighed heavily
