I was looking at the new guy in disbelief. My felt my inner demon purring slightly as soon as she saw him and had the intoxicating scent of chocolate filling my nose but instead I let out a growl. I was in control, I called the shots, I decided who I was meant to be with. And I prayed to God it wasn't a werewolf.
It was hard to see the two werewolves through my blood-blurred eye. I squinted at him, trying to keep the pain at bay. He was wearing black shorts and a white muscle shirt that outlined his sexy upper-body in extreme detail. He was H. O. T... His dark brown hair hair was cut short and sharp. His eyes were black, pure black. Demonic.
He seemed kind of confused when I told him to stay away. It was replaced by hurt but then it quickly changed to anger.
"Why are you here, rouge?" He snarled, still looking at me with lustful eyes. It definiately wouldn't take a rocket scientist to tell that he wanted me. I felt angry but at the same time I wanted to laugh. He thought that I was a rouge. Two words.
Too. Cute.
"I'm just passing through." I said calmly, putting on a bold front.
"Why didn't you ask permission? We would've let you pass." I scoffed inwardly at that.
"I didn't know this territory was occupied."
"Are there any more of you?" He asked in a grouchy voice.
"No, I'm what you might call a lone wolf." I joked, grinning. He didn't laugh or even smile. "Wow, tough crowd."
"You're coming with us." He ordered in a Thar's tone. Oh dear Lord, my 'mate' was a Wolf Thar. Well, it's official, I'm dead.
I could easily take them on, easily kill them both. But I didn't, I couldn't. He'd played the Thar Card, pulling authority. I'd been trained to obey. So I bowed my head and got onto one knee. When neither of them picked me up, I looked up at them. Both of them had confused looks on their faces.
"What are you waiting for, a written invitation?" I scoffed, narrowing my eyes. A growl escaped the Wolf Thar's lips but I didn't back down.
"Shift." He ordered, his Thar tone gone.
"Nah, I'm good, besides, this guy's already shifted, why don't I just ride him?" He growled at me but I just smiled.
"Not going to happen." He replied simply, looking annoyed.
"Why not? It's just more realistic." I said, using the persuasive tone I was taught. He and the wolf looked confused.
"Yeah, I-I guess it is."
"But I don't want to get on his back." I protested, grinning on the inside. I was causing all this confusion and it was hilarious.
"Get on the Beta's back."
"But..."
"I said get on the Beta's back, now!" He ordered in his Thar tone.
I got on quickly, straddling the auburn wolf professionally. The Beta didn't complain but he still seemed confused. His fur was soft beneath my fingers and felt perfectly natural. That really unsettled me.
"I'll be there later, I still have to finish off some business." With that, the Wolf Thar turned and walked away. As soon as he disappeared from view the Beta shook his head and took off at neckbreak speed.
