Chapter 8

Lukes POV:

While Belle & Maddie hang out on the beach, I was planning on going to meet our realtor with Carter to look at houses down here. I definitley want to stay in Panama City though. I've already looked at a few houses online so when I meet up with up the realtor we're going to look at the same houses I saw online just so I could see them in person and make sure I actually like them. I'm pretty sure I know which one I want, but it can't hurt to view them in person.

Belles POV:

The beach is so gorgeous! The water is as still as a sheet of glass, with a blue/green color to it. The ocean isn't too cold either, I'm pleasantly surprised by that, actually. As I'm walking the shore line looking for shells and sand dollars, someone taps me on the shoulder. I turn around and I can't believe who I'm standing face to face with. "MADDIE OMG WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" "Luke invited me & Carter down for a few days just so we can all catch up! I've missed you so much! I never see you now that you moved in Luke." "I know, I miss you a ton too. But living with Luke is amazing. It's like I'm living with my bestfriend except it feels totally different than living with you, in a good way of course." Maddie & I keep walking down the shore, catching up on each others lives, when Maddie cuts me off and says "I know about you & Luke." Well duh she knows about us, I mean we live together... We're dating... "Yeah... I would hope you know about us considering he's my boyfriend that I live with." Maddie looks at me with a confused face, before hesitating to say "No, you don't get what I just said. I know about you & Luke. Yes, about y'all living together and dating, but I know what y'all did together." My heart started racing along with my mind, I had all these thoughts in my head, how does know? What does she think of us taking our relationship to that stage so early? "Oh. My. Gosh. HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT?!" "Well, I guess Luke told Carter because Carter was trying to call him while y'all were busy & Carter didn't believe any of Lukes excuses so he just told him the truth." "Oh... So thats all you know?" "...yes... Is there something else I'm missing?" "No! Nothing! Thats it! Hey, on another note, do you know what Carters doing since Luke is taking a nap and we're down here?" "Oh, yeah, well, I don't want to give too much away, but Luke isn't taking a nap. He's out working on a surprise for you with Carters help." "Maddie... You know I hate surprises so tell me what it is." "Okay fine. I'll tell you, but you can't get mad that I ruined it for you, and you can't let Luke be mad either." "Okay okay okay. Nobody will be mad. Now tell me." "Luke is out with Carter & a realtor looking at a few houses to buy down here." Um okay wow. If he wants to surprise me with something that BIG, I'll surprise him too. I have a secret of my own that I've been keeping, I wasn't planning on telling Luke until we got back home to Lukes house in Tennessee that he bought before going to school back in Statesboro. But, telling him now would answer some of his questions, but I'm not too sure I want him to even know. I have two choices: tell him, or don't tell him. Should I have Maddie help me make my decision? NO! I'm not telling anyone. Theres one person who I'm telling, and thats the only person who will know. "Hey Maddie, I just remembered, I have to make an important phone call before it gets too late so I'll see you later okay?" "Yeah thats fine! Love you!" "I love you too, bye!"
