~Your POV~
It was so dark... so cold... so empty. I knew it, it had all just been something my mind came up with to maintain sanity. Here I was, back in the VOID until my SOUL completely shatters.
I didn't even cry, although I felt like it. I just felt... hopeless. Hopeless and alone. I sighed very loudly and slumped to the ground. It was strange my mind came up with an unhappy ending. Nearly getting murdered by a friend certainly made me more insane.
I heard footsteps approaching me, I guess now I'm hearing things that don't exist. I decided to turn around and prove myself wrong that no one was behind me, but my mind was correct. Someone was there.
A human wearing a green sweater with single a yellow stripe down the middle was staring at me in confusion. Her ruby eyes were trained solely on my black ones, she seemed lost in thought. It was her eyes that truly made me fall onto my knees for her, they were just so gorgeous. I couldn't explain it. Compared to the dark of the VOID, they were like lighthouses.
"W-what are you doing here?" I asked her, getting to my feet. She was only half a head taller than me.
"I could ask you the same thing." She said, snapping out her trance to look me up and down in a slightly judgemental way.
"I don't know, I- wait, you can understand me?" I said, focusing hard on my voice. It sounded... normal? Weird.
"I guess I can."
There was an awkward silence, once again I was too anxious to make eye contact. I subconsciously rubbed my arm and noticed I still had some blood on me. I guess it really wasn't a dream. But then... what am I doing here? Last thing I remember is falling asleep in Sans' arms. Wait, did I really do that? Good job me, you've just made things super awkward between the only person who can understand you in the Underground.
"How can you see me?" Chara abruptly asked.
"Uh, what?"
"How can you see me?" She repeated in a more annoyed manner. It took me a moment of processing to understand what she meant.
"I really don't know, how come no one else can see you except me and Frisk?"
"Like I'd tell you."
Another silence. I felt a little hurt at her words but I could understand. I was just a stranger.
"So how do we get out of here?" She asked, crossing her arms and looking around.
"We can't. Trust me, I've spent more than enough time trying."
"So, now what? We're just stuck here for the rest of our lives? How did we even get here?"
"Your guess is as good as mine. Last thing I remember is going to sleep."
Chara huffed slightly and began to roam around, looking everywhere for an exit. I just sat on the ground again, I examined the hole in my sweater that Flowey had torn through. My skin was completely healed, somehow. I wish I had the tools to investigate the VOID and its properties, even though it's miserable to be here it is an interesting place.
I wiped some dried goo off my arms, it felt just like normal dry blood except maybe a little more rough. I got a flashback to when my blood crushed Flowey's vines, how did it do that? And why didn't I feel much pain? I should of been in agony. But the only pain I felt was when I made contact with my SOUL, I got shivers just thinking about it. I must've grasped it too hard or something.
Chara seemed to have given up on finding an exit, she slumped to the ground and was determined not to look at me. I sighed, stood up, and walked over to her.
