"Lieutenant? I'm coming in!" I shouted before kicking the door down, rushing inside to see the tv playing with no one inside.

"Don't move asshole."

I held up my hands in a sign of surrender as I felt the barrel of a gun prod the back of my head, my hands instinctively reaching for the arm holding the gun to flip the attacker over my head and slam them into the ground.

"Damnit!" The man cursed as the gun flew from his hand, gasping for air as he jumped to his feet and started to move for the weapon.

"Are you Lieutenant Scheid?" I questioned the man calmly, stepping on the gun before he could pick it up and use it against me.

"What if I am?" He shot back defensively, glaring at me before I pinned him to the wall with my hand wrapped around his throat.

"I'm only going to ask this one more time. Are you, or are you not, Lieutenant Scheid?" I demanded coldly, watching the man desperately claw at my hand to no avail as he struggled to breathe.

"Y-Yes, damnit yes!" He choked out reluctantly, coughing as I released my grip and let him fall to his knees to regain his breath.

"I have been partnered with you to stop the spread of android deviancy in LA." I stated as Lieutenant Scheid used the wall to help him stand, his gray-blue eyes burning with resentment.

"I'm not working with a plastic asshole like you!" Lieutenant Scheid snapped furiously, standing in a defensive position.

"We need to go to the station to learn what we can about the deviancy issue." I informed him before leaving the house, the lieutenant muttering something about androids being douchebags as he followed me outside.

"Lieutenant, Captain wants to talk to you." A male with short brown hair and sapphire blue eyes greeted us as we arrived, my analyzation of him revealing that his name was Private Ethan Nestor.

Lieutenant Schied grumbled something under his breath before he stormed off, leaving me to choose what I should do.

I started to follow him until I passed by his desk, causing me to hesitate so I could learn more about him.

"There's a picture of Lieutenant Scheid and Private Nestor, they must be friends." I murmured as I picked up a framed photograph of the pair smiling at the camera, a sandy beach shore barely visible behind them.

"He must have a dog too." I reasoned as I picked a strand of golden retriever hair of of the back of his chair.

"And he was an athlete at one point in his life." I observed as I examined the water polo medals pinned up on the cork board behind his computer.

"He's also with someone, presumably she's his girlfriend." I added as I glanced at a picture of a woman with long brown hair and brown eyes, her smiling face somehow familiar to me.

"Stop snooping around my stuff!"

I staggered back in surprise when Lieutenant Scheid yanked me away from his desk, causing me to nearly fall over.

"My apologies Lieutenant, I was merely hoping to learn more about you seeing as we will be working together." I replied as I straightened my tie, the lieutenant glaring at me with his fingers curled into fists at his side.

"I like dogs, what's your dog's name?" I asked to change the subject, his expression shifting to confusion.

"I saw the dog hair on your chair." I explained hastily, his hands relaxing at his side as he let out a sigh.

"Chica...I call her Chica." Lieutenant Scheid answered quietly, his rough demeanor returning when I opened my mouth.

"Lieutenant-"

"Listen, just because I'm stuck with you doesn't mean that I have to tolerate you. Do me a favor and shut up or I'll shut you up." Lieutenant Schied threatened, cutting me off as he sank down onto his chair at his desk.

I nodded in understanding as I stood by his desk, the woman from the photo walking up to us with a smile.

"Hey Tyler, thought I'd stop in and say hi since I heard that you're having a rough day at work." The woman chimed in, offering the lieutenant a cup of coffee.

"You have no idea Amy." Lieutenant Schied muttered under his breath, shooting a glare at me as he took the cup.

"My name is Mark, I am the android sent by Cyberlife." I greeted, Amy staring at my LED light before tearing her gaze away to look at the floor.

"Well, um, it's nice to meet you...Mark." Amy stammered before rushing off, my head tilted slightly in confusion as I watched her leave.

"Just sit down and do something helpful." Lieutenant Schied hissed, pointing at the desk across from his.

I did as I was instructed, Amy waving goodbye to Tyler before leaving us to begin our investigation.

"Here's something. There's a report of an android homicide in a house that's not too far from here." I spoke up, showing Lieutenant Schied the report.

"There's also a reported kidnapping in Brighton, the police there specifically requested us to look into it." Lieutenant Scheid countered.
