-Molly-
A warm hand slowly slid down my back, jolting me awake. My grip tightened on my blade, and when I rose it to slit whoever's thoat it was, I saw it was John.
"God, John," I said, relieved, "don't do that when I'm sleeping."
I threw my blade down next to me.
"Are you saying I can when you're awake?" John replies\d with a flirtacious smirk. I scoffed and rolled my eyes at this.
"Come on, Molly, loosen up, will you?" he whispered in my ear as he slid behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Loosening up isn't my thing" I confessed quietly. John sighed and tightens his grip around my torso.
"Please, try. I won't let anything happen to you. Close your eyes" he begged. I exhaled loudly and closed my eyes. Not very long after, John continued "Now, relax your muscles. Lay back on my chest if you want."
I inhaled deeply slowly and released the air in my lungs slowly. I felt my body relax a little and my weight eventually was on John's chest. I must admit, I was comfortable.
"Now, without falling asleep, imagine anything that makes you happy and calm."
Buster immediately appeared on the inside of my eyelids; his smile, laugh.. A lump formed in the back of my throat, a sign to tell me my body wanted to cry. Crying was not an option; I promised myself no more crying, but tears still managed to slip through my tightly shut eyelids. My body's hiccupy body rhythum made my crying obvious to John, who hugged me close.
"Molly... What's wrong, darling?" John asked, concerned about my well being. I shook my head, not wanting to talk, cry, breathe; anything. It was my fault Buster was dead. I should have saved him; he was, and still is, my brother. We sat there, me crying and halfway in my sleeping bag, for about five minutes until I was done releasing my feelings.
"I-I'm sorry..." I whispered.
"It's okay. But, are you okay?" he asked with worry. I nodded and slipped out my sleeping bag completely to turn around and face John. My small, cold hand is placed on his heart by his hand, "You feel that?"
I nodded, looking up at his eyes with tears still in my eyes.
"That is my heart beating, for you. I will never leave you unless you want me to. Your happiness is my happiness."
I chuckled a little through my still messed up breathing rythum and hugged the man, "That is so cheesy."
John's arms wrap around me again in a hugging manner and held me close to him, a little chuckle escaped through his lips, "I know" he confessed.
Yay for John and Molly! This is a short and sweet love scene, but I am still thinking about where these weary travelers are to go. Don't worry! Lisa is still asleep when this all happened. She's still there, I promise(^.^) New update soon!
