Chapter 20

Gisela's (P.O.V.)

There was a big potluck at the park we are in. This is how Niall planed to feed us. We're going to pretend that we belonged.

"Grab as much as you could eat Princess. Try to stuff yourself." He said. I didn't want to argue. I was really hungry.

Once Niall and I took some food, we sat on a bench and started to eat. I could safely say that I was doing exactly what he told me to: I was stuffing my face.

I looked at Naill's plate. He hardly touched his food. "You should start eating Niall. Remember that we still need to finish the bucket list." I said.

"Um, I don't really feel like eating. I'm too excited. The buck list is almost done. I'm just waiting for you to finish." He said. I kinda tried to eat a little faster now.

After I was done, he told me the last thing on the bucket list was to skip some pebbles into the water. I had no idea how to do that, but it kinda sounded like fun.

We walked over to the pond that wasn't so far from the potluck. We both started searching for pebbles to throw. Somehow it became a contest on who can find the most pebbles. It was fun because I was winning. Which caused him to try to steal my pebbles, but that part was fun too.

"Do you know how to skip pebbles?" I asked.

"Uh no. If I did then it would have already been checked off my bucket list." He said. I don't know how I didn't realize that. Stupid.

I was the first to try and throw a pebble. My try looked pretty pathetic. Niall laughed at me, which didn't make me feel any better about it.

"Let me show you how the master does it." He said while I stepped aside. His try ended up being worse then mine. That made me laugh extra harder.

"The master really sucks." I said while laughing. He started laughing to.

"Okay, shut up." He said, still with a big smile on his face. "It's your turn again.".

I chose another, and our game continued. It stopped again after Niall started coughing really bad.

"Niall, maybe you should sit down for a second." I suggested.

"No, I'm Fine!" He coughed. "We still have pebbles left, so let's just finish.".

He threw another pebble which finally skipped two times into the water. It wasn't a lot, but it was enough to make him very happy.

"Did you see that? I'm the rock skipping champion!" He bragged. I rolled my eyes playfully with a big smile on my face.

"Now do it again." I said with a smile. I was pretty sure he wouldn't be able to that again.

Niall was just about to try it again, but he didn't get the chance to. When I looked back at him, he fell to the ground again.

"Niall!". I ran to his side as fast as I could.

"I'm okay. Don't worry." He said while standing himself up.

"But you-" He cut me off.

"I said I'm okay!" He yelled, which kinda scared me. "I'm sorry for yelling. I didn't mean to." He said.

I looked at him blankly, still trying to take everything in.

"Come on princess." He coughed. "Let's go now.".

He put his arm around me and we walked out of the park... Can someone explain to me what just happened?
