I felt the gasps that issued from my lungs shake me. I would have to tell the others...

I felt a heady sense of control take over and knew that magic was helping me. I had to finish the task at hand first.

I had one more idea. I raised my staff and imagined my last wish.

The air rippled and turned blue. I felt everything click into place. The blueness faded slowly as it reached the edge of the room. Salty smells filled the air and calmed me. I felt winds that felt like currents caress my skin. Perfect. Now, my room felt as though it were underwater. I summoned living sea turtles, fish, and glowing jellyfish.

I clambered down the ladder to Charlie's room. He was holding a ball of fire that was melting into a rock at his command. His sword lay by his side. I continued down before he noticed me and waited for the others while I swam in the pond a bit.

In a five minutes time, Sarah, Charlie, and Laura were sitting on a picnic blanket that was made of Laura's thread. I joined them and sat next to Charlie, who snapped his fingers. The water on my clothes evaporated. My clothes became warm and dry.

"Thanks," I said quietly. Sarah began speaking.

"So, I think the next hurdle is to find out how to get home." She stated, simply and clearly. I chuckled under my breath- I couldn't help it!

"What?" She asked, turning to me and staring, clearly taken aback. I cleared my throat.

"Sarah, no offense, but we haven't eaten in two days. We also clearly need a change of clothes, even though ours are renewed. And there is something else..." I felt my grin slide from my face. I held my staff loosely in my hand and pictured the book that I had read the myth from. A blue mist condensed in my lap and the book appeared. Sarah looked confused. Laura just looked curious. Charlie's face was intrigued.

I took a deep breath and told them the entire thing, reading from the book and showing them the words. Sarah's mouth hung open. Laura looked like she had been punched in the gut and told it was her birthday at the same time, and Charlie looked dumbfounded.

"But- that means- how- that explains--but our mother? Siblings? How- just wait-"

Charlie stuttered into silence. Sarah was breathing hard.

"Guys, I know it's insane, but it explains everything. We have to keep going. We will find a way back home, but I have a feeling that... the goddess... doesn't wish us to leave just yet." I said quietly.

Charlie's face cleared and he started looking thoughtful. "If she wants us to be here, I don't see how we can get away. I think that we should stay, at least for the time being. I agree with Nicole- we need to find food, clothing, and water before we plan anything else."

Sarah tilted her head and thought before saying, "That's all I think we can do."

"I'm in!" piped Laura.

..................................................................

"Okay, guys, if this doesn't work, it is not my fault if I soak you to the skin."

"Or mine if I burn you up!"

"Or mine if I cover you in a bunch of dirt!"

"Or mine if I shoot you into the sky!"

Ah, enthusiasm.

We stood in a ring around a pile of not needed wood and bark, pointing our items of power at it.

I held my staff and felt the orb humming and vibrating.

"Alright- one- two- three!"

Our weapons glowed and a blast of blue, green, white, and red light burst from us and surrounded the pile of wood. A blast of wind emitted from the wood, but we stood our ground. When the light cleared, a polished, wooden table stood on a stone patio. The table was decorated with gems, and each side glowed a different color, where four comfortable looking chairs waited we sank into them, and our weapons floated into holders by our chairs. As soon as we were all settled, light emitted from the center of the table, and food began fading into reality. Glasses clinked as they settled in front of us, and napkins floated onto our laps. Plates zoomed out of the light and placed themselves in front of us. The light faded, and our hands were clean. Steak and chile and bread and pasta and warm food were spread out on the square table. Drinks in pitchers and bottles adorned the scene, though our glasses were filled with water for the time being.
