Maura POV

People have always asked me what it's like to have celebrity as a best friend, but I've never thought of Greyson as any thing else besides my best friend.  Sometimes it's hard because we don't see each other for a long time, but that's where Facebook, Twitter, and texting come in.

Hearing Greyson's laugh mad my day.  I ran down the stairs to meet him.

"Mauraaaaa!!" Greyson yelled even though we were only five feet away from each other.  "I've missed you so much!"

"Greyyyyson!!" I yell, just as loudly, "I've missed you so much!"  I echo.

He pulls me into a hug and I felt the warmth that I've been missing for the last three months.

"I meant it, I really did miss you," he whispered into my ear.

His breath tickled my ear and I giggled.  What Greyson had just said made my heart jump more than it usually does.  I blush.  I've never blushed when Greyson talks to me. Why am I now? I wonder.

"You're blushing, Maura.  Oooh!!" my older sister, Tricia, said.

"What? Me? Blushing? No way. Why would I be blushing? Besides you blush all the time when you're with James."

Tricia sighs and walks out of the kitchen.  Greyson laughs and looks deep into my eyes, "I love you, don't worry."

My heart stops.  He's told me that he loves me plenty of times; so why is this time making me feel so emotional?

"Maura," Greyson teases, "Stop blushing!" He laughs.

My face flames I laugh along with him, thinking, if only he knew what I really thought of him. I never admitted it to anybody, but I thought of Greyson Chance, my best friend, as more than just a friend.  A boy that I love.

Greyson's POV

I wish I could tell Maura that I loved her more  than just a friend. I've told her that I love her a lot, but she never seemed to take it the way I mean it.

I felt a nudge on my side, and look over.

"Stop day dreaming about that special girl you met," Maura teases.

I see an expression I can't read go over her eyes, but she quickly covers it up. If only she knew who I was day dreaming about.

I smile, "Oh, sorry, I was just dreaming about that really special girl that's in my life."

Maura and I laugh, but I can se her eyes aren't laughing along.

"So . . .Who's that special girl you now have in your life, Greyson?"

"Umm, one of my classmates." I answer, not yet wanting to tell her it's her.  I'm waiting for the perfect moment.

"But you have a private tutor."

"Oh, yeah.  Well, the special girl is someone I've known for along time."

"What's her name?" Maura asks.

"Oh, I don't remember."

Maura suddenly drops her teasing smile, "Really, Greyson, what's her name?"

I can tell she's getting annoyed with me.  Maybe I should tell her right now that I love her.

Opening my mouth to tell her the name of that special person is Maura Robertson, the phone rings.  Maura jumps up to get it.  There goes my perfect moment.
