1. Resident Candy-Eating Man Child

(Heyo Author here, we are gonna just kind of pretend like Flitz, Lasercorn and Boze are still there/full time members okay? Humor me?)

Wes's POV
"Hey guys! Please remember to subscribe to Smosh Games!"

I smile at the camera along with the rest of the team, then rambling off the ending speech about the next videos and how to subscribe. Soon enough the cameras stop filming and we are free to get back to work and record videos of our own, at least that's how it normally works.

Instead I see Ian, who wasn't in this week's Board AF, come in with some other girl, just casually chatting with her as they walked in the door. 

"Oh shit man, that's gotta be the new girl he was gonna hire for either our channel or the squad.." I hear Boze mutter to Flitz, as if it were some big secret.

"Wait, Ian was hiring someone new? Does everyone know about this?" I ask, turning to Boze and asking in a fairly confused tone.

"No. But I'll just text the group chat we all have. It'll be easier than talking now." She shook her head and pushed me away to keep talking to flitz.

~Post lunch, in the Smosh Games group chat without Ian~

Boze: okay so seriously. That girl who was walking through will either be joining us or joining the squad over on the other channel. Ian interviewed her last week and she's been offered a job, I don't know which one. But girl I hope it's us!

Wes: so that's what you were talking about today with flitz?

Boze: yup, he and I overheard Ian talking to some producer about it.

Flitz: ACTUALLY I heard it and not you. But okay, take my credit.

Mari: ladies, you're both pretty but let's just focus on the matter at hand. She'd better join us. We need more girls.

Joven: I'm busy. You guys are blowing up my phone. I'm muting the conversation.

Damien: ditto.

I shut my phone off and finish lunch before heading up to my desk with my computer, logging into a game and being sure to set up my screen capture for the footage I would use in one of my later videos.
About two hours later, However, my oblivious ass (paired with a gaming headset) doesn't realize when the entirety of the Smosh Games crew comes in, chattering like wild monkeys.

I was only brought to attention when Boze grabbed my shoulder and spun my chair around, bringing me face to face with the very girl we had been talking about.

"And this is our resident game playing, candy eating, man-child, " she paused and removed my headphones, "This is (Y/N)! The newest member of the Smosh Games crew!" She said, eyes full of excitement as I shook hands with the new member. I stood up and noticed the immediate size difference. She wasn't much taller than Boze, so I towered above her.

I also took a moment to notice the smaller details, she had nothing extremely striking initially, but gave off a vibe of "the ultimate girl next door." And I liked that, I didn't seem like she was trying too hard to make herself stand out or fit in. She seemed just genuinely...her. Someone I could see myself being friends with for sure.

"Are you gonna introduce yourself or just be forever known as the game playing, candy-eating, man-child?" (Y/N) laughed lightly and held out her hand, I broke out of the trance I was in and shook her hand.

"Oh yeah, I'm Wesley Johnson, but call me Wes!" I said, letting a pleasant smile rest on my face.

(Y/N) POV

I had been in contact with Ian Hecox for two weeks now as we got together the details for my hiring on the Smosh Games channel. Now it was the day I would be formally introduced to the other members and the production crew. Having met the crew early morning, Ian took me, and I toured the building with him.

The different rooms of the office were almost all brightly colored and constructed very nicely. He showed me where my computer and desk was, beside Wes and Boze, I knew of them but couldn't really remember which member, specifically, they were. I was reminded of Boze when I met a large group coming in from getting lunch. That's where I met Flitz, Boze, Damien, and Joven.

These members took me upstairs where I was introduced to someone who could truly only be described as a silver haired tree. I mean, he TOWERED over me.

"And this is our resident game playing, candy eating, man-child." Boze said, while knocking the headphones off of his head. "This is (Y/N)! The newest member of the Smosh Games crew!" She laughed and then I jokingly instructed the man to introduce himself.

I was way too lost in his features to hear what he said at first, the only words I managed to catch from him was:

"Call me Wes!"

Well shit, I'm stuck at a desk beside this candy eating, tree like, man child of a gamer.

Though somehow, I don't think I'll mind one bit.
