Mai sat next Sora on the beach. The brunette was fast asleep and didn't notice her as he peacefully slept. "Gee, I wonder if Sora's ticklish~"

Riku was walking towards the paopu tree and saw her tickling Sora, causing the brunette wake with a laughter. He sighed; he was waiting for someone to return home.

The silverette looked up the sky and he saw a shooting star- in the middle of the day? He looked closer and saw a bit of white, blue, and purple. He smiled and shouted to the other two, "Mai! Sora! She's back!"

The other two stopped and looked up to see their friend splash into the water.

"Akira!" Mai shouted and Riku dove in after her. The other two were worried for the white haired girl.

Akira appeared out of the water and coughed for a second. "Belgh! The water's worse than Sora's cooking..." She saw Riku popped out of the water. "Hey, Riku."

"Hey, Akira, you're back." Riku chuckled, "Are you okay? Where did you go?"

"My secret~" she giggled, "but yeah, I'm okay. Is Diance back home?"

"Yep, just as promised." Riku said and they swam to shore where the other two were. "Are you two dating yet?"

"W-what!? N-no, I-I was trying to just wake him up!" Her foot slipped as she was trying to get up. "Whoa!"

Akira and Riku laughed at her flustered and clumsy side, though both Mai and Sora's faces were cherry red. Mai pouted as she came up and spit out the water. "That doesn't prove anything!"

"That doesn't, then I don't know what does." Riku chuckled, shaking his head.

"Come on guys!" She whined, "He's my best friend! Right Sora?"

Sora was silent silent and red until he finally said, and a bit too quickly, "H-huh? Oh, yeah! We're just friends!"

Akira was on her knees now and clutching her stomach, she was laughing so hard, and both of their faces were bright red.

"Okay, lovebirds, we need to find some supplies for the raft." Riku chuckled smiling a bit. Mai and Sora were silent still as well as their faces still red.

"Sora! Riku!" They heard Kairi yell and the two boys turned to see her. Mai sighed, getting up. Akira noticed she seemed bothered.

"Are the boys still paying attention to Kairi more than you?" She asked when the boys were talking with Kairi and Mai looked down. "Your still jealous, right? Of Kairi, because she seems that she has everything, am I right?"

Mai growled and her eyes went sad, "She's more beautiful than I will ever be... and ever since Riku and Sora spent more time with her, they left this four eyed freak in the dust."

Akira's jaw dropped, "Mai, that is just not true. You are beautiful, and you kind of remind me of my sister, how she's willing to do anything to protect the ones she loves. Come on, don't think you aren't pretty, okay?"

"That's not what Sora sees, he seems to like her better..." She looked away, "He hangs with her more."

"Are you kidding? Sure, he hangs out with Kairi more but he loves you more than anything else in this world. Why do you think his face turns red when we mentioned love?"

The redhead dryly laughed, "He barely even notices me anymore, along with Riku, but sure..." She rolled her eyes.

Akira hummed in response, "Maybe they hang out with you, but your mind plays tricks on you?" She tried to give Mai a little hope. "But please know that the five of us are family, not just friends."

"Well, your right about them on the family part." Mai smiled.

"And the other part?"

"Whatever, it's not like you would believe me..." Mai said, looked down as she passed her to go collect materials for the raft.

Akira looked at her sadly and said, without Mai hearing her, "May your heart be your guiding key, Mai..." She ran towards the secret place.

Riku was there, looking at the drawings of himself and her. He smiled, "Hey, Akira! Just looking at the drawings. No telling when we'll see them again."

"Yeah, just had to talk with Mai. Then I decided to look at these pictures." She looked over and saw a drawing of Sora and Mai, but Sora was giving a paopu to Mai. "If she saw this, she would know he cared."

He chuckled, "I knew it. But that does give me an idea..." He picked up a chalk rock, slightly blushing. "Well..." Riku sighed and drew a paopu fruit going to her from him. "I was kinda thinking the same thing... I kinda like you. Well, not kinda... B-but a lot!" He realized what he said, "Wait, what?"

Akira cheeks were bright red now as she stayed silent. He turned away to try and hide his cheeks, which were now bright red as Akira's.

"I... I understand if you don't feel it too..." He looked down.

"N-no, I don't- I mean, I do like you it's just..." Akira stuttered, at a loss of words.

"Just what?" He asked curiously.

"I like you too!!" Akira shouted and looked down, her face as red as Mai's hair.

He chuckled softly and his cheeks the same color as hers. "Y-you do?"

"Yes, I love how brave you, how sweet and kind you are, your jokes and mischief, how you stick up for people when they were bullied or teased. And I love you for that." She said, still not looking at him. What she didn't expect was his lips on hers, though he nearly missed.

Akira's eyes widened as he was kissing her and many emotions were going through her. Happiness, nervousness, embarrassment, scariness, and a lot more she couldn't describe.

He pulled away and saw her face. He sighed, thinking he blew it, "Sorry..."

Akira just grabbed him by his collar and kissed him this time, her lips were like a cloud- soft and warm. He smiled into the kiss and his cyan green orbs closed. She broke the kiss after a minute and looked down again, still a bit embarrassed from the kiss, before and after as well.

"Wow..." He smiled and he still had his eyes closed.

"Sorry, if that was to much." Akira said, her cheeks still red, "I get if your mad or anything..."

"No, that was nice."

"I-It was?" Akira said, finally tilting her head up at him but her eyes still looking down a bit.

He smiled and opened his eyes. He cupped her cheek, striking it with his thumb. "Didn't you feel anything like I did?"

"Y-yeah, I did." She looked into his eyes, smiling sheepishly. She scratched her cheek out of the nervousness.

"It's okay, Snowy..." He gently smiled and reassuringly hugged hug her, "I love you..."

She froze for a second and hugged him back, still silent. But then she said, "I love you too Silver." She was at peace and she was smiling.
