Sora was carrying Mai in his arms when an egg appeared in her arms.

"What the-?!" He asked, looking at the egg surprised and in shock, stopping in his tracks.

Mai frowned and cradled with the egg in her arms in her sleep. "I'll... protect him..."

Sora didn't know what to say but stuttered, "O-ok..." He said still in shock.

"Pika! Pika!" Pikachu came running up.

Meloetta appeared, 'Sora! Mai! There you too are! Are you okay?'

"Yeah! We're fine! But this egg came out of nowhere though!" He told her.

'It's a gift to her from someone who is deeply connected to her. But we got to try to wake her up! Akira and Riku might be in trouble!' Meloetta looked to the play island. Pikachu jumped into Sora's shoulder, sniffing the air.

"Pika!" Pikachu pointed up at the storm clouds.

"Oh no! The raft!" Sora realized and he gently and he gently shook Mai to wake her up.

Mai opened her eyes and looked at him, "S-Sora... I saw my mom... My real mom..."

"You did?! That's great!" He said with a smile.

She sadly smiled and shrugged, standing up, "Yeah... She told me my journey starts will start tonight."

"what does that mean?" He asked confused.

"Not sure..." She looked down at her egg and she sensed something was wrong with Akira. She looked to the play island. She frowned and started to run, "Akira!"

"Mai, wait up!!" Sora said, chasing after her, chasing after her, worried about her.

Eerie wind blew through the islands as they ran. Mai saw Akira up by the docks, "Akira, wait!"

"Mai!" She said, already in her boat with her Pokémon and her egg near her, "What are you doing here?"

'Something is not right, so we have to stick together!' Meloetta said to them.

"She's right! So the real question is why are you here?" Mai was worried.

"I saw Riku rowing to the island and I was worried but when I got here, Kairi's boat was gone too." She told them sounding worried.

"Hm..." Mai looked around, "We need to look for them."

'Once we get to the play island,  Sora, Pikachu, and I will look for Kairi. Mai, Akira, Diancie, look for Umbreon and Riku!' Meloetta said and Mai nodded.

'Got it!' Diancie said, nodding as they got into there boats and started to row to the island.

"Mana! M-mama!" A Manaphy jumped from the ocean to the play island's shore, looking for Kairi. "Mama! Love you!"

"Pika!" Pikachu hopped to the deck and ran to it. "Pika Pikachu?"

"M-mama..." Manaphy frowned and looked around for Kairi.

"Manaphy? What's wrong?" Akira asked as she ran up to it, worried about it. The others ran to it as well.

"Mama!" Manaphy said, worried about Kairi.

"He's worried about Kai." Mai said and she looked to the treehouse. "We got to find the safety containers and bags for the eggs! Meloetta, use your Psychic to hold the eggs while I go get them!" Meloetta nodded and did so. Little creatures appeared which made Meloetta gasp.

"What are those creatures?!" Sora asked.

Akira looked at them in horror and shock, "It can't be! The Unversed!"
