Hey guys, thanks for the 8 views and two votes, that was awesome for my second day. I love feedback as I use it to work on my writing, so another thank you. This chapter is written in Ben's perspective, which is for most chapters. Anyway, enjoy the first chapter and let me know what you think!

Ben's Perspective

Academy of Espionage

0900 hours

Wednesday

You probably know me as Agent Ripley, a.k.a Smokescreen or just Ben. Anyway, I joined spy school two years ago(It's actually called the Academy of Espionage, but spy school is obviously cooler, like duh?) Since then, I've been various incidents(I tend to call them struggles but my friends think of it as adventures), like trying to stop an organization called SPYDER which aims for terrorism and global all around the world. Till now, they've tried to blow up nine important monuments in Washington, kill the president, prime minister of the UK and others in some Camp David, some more stuff using me, blowing up a mountain in efforts to get some metal, blow up the president and a defence minister of some sort, increase the rate of global warming by trying to use nukes on Antartica and so on. Seems like the use a lot of missiles and bombs, but I have stopped them each time. I've probably made more enemies in two years than my parents did in a lifetime. Speaking of parents, it's my spring break and I've been waiting to go back home. I mean, every single time I think of that I go on a mission and miss it. Like, really.

"Ripley!!", my teacher for biochemical weaponry, Professor Kulinski shouted.

"Yes, sir!", I said promptly.

"That's an essay on what we've just been discussing for you, Mr Ripley", he said sternly. I made a mental note not to dream in class again.

In lunch, Jawa met me with some 'exciting' news.

"The new iPhone XR (I am not associated with this company or any other, please don't think of it as an advertisement) has been launched and it is supposed to be awesome!"

"Well, what's so great about it", Zoe demanded.

"It has-like everything you need, literally.", Jawa said excitedly.

I was interested too since my phone was crushed on our previous mission. So I asked," such as?"

Jawa immediately switched to a salesman mode and went on describing it like, "...with a 256GB memory and screen resolution of 1792 x 828..."

Missions... I feel so calm without all the action, though I am definitely not sharing that! The CIA gives us special phones which aren't hacked, but the thing is that the phones aren't that great. Sure, we have a camera, a texting app, a search engine and GPS, but that's about it. While I was thinking about cruddy CIA phones, I vaguely heard the others discussing the new iPhone. I really wanted it, but I'm not sure if I even had the money to buy it, you see my parents run a supermarket, but luckily spy school is sponsored by the CIA. I just quickly finished my food, disposed the plate and walked towards the corridor and believe it or not, I heard the teachers discussing the new iPhone XR! Now that really surprised me. Is the craze for it that much? Well, Apple(Again, no sponsorship or connection) is definitely gonna get richer. Anyway, my next class was with Professor Crandall and was Advanced Self-Preservation, my favourite. Just when I was solving a complex problem, a voice over the PA alerted me.

"Is this thing on? Where's the damn button? Is it this one? Ugh. Oh, it is on. Uh, whatever with this PA stuff...", that was the voice of Barnabus Sidebottom, our stupid principal and called by the nickname 'Idiot'(Zoe thought of that). It's true because he actually is one. It's a wonder how I joined the CIA in the first place. I mean, who would accept someone like him? The Principal continued, "We request, sorry, I demand Benjamin Ripley to come to the closet, sorry, my office immediately.

"Oooh", my other classmates murmured.

"Quiet!", Crandall said severely.

I quickly packed my books and fast-walked towards the Hale building. The principal had beef with me - After I saved a few students by diverting a live mortar to the Hale building, the principal's office was totalled, he hated me. he actually hated me from the start when Erica got me to make snarky comments and share them with him 'as part of a mission', but let's not discuss that now. When I walked towards his closet(That became his new office after the mortar problem), I immediately felt hot. Indeed, when I entered I was already sweating. There were at least 5 people in the room(if you call a janitor's closet one) so when I entered it probably did not help.

From experience, I know what happens when I get called for a mission and I see the principal, Cyrus Hale, two guards and Erica.
