Hope you enjoy this story~ I happen to really like Hikaru and wanted to touch on how opening up, only to get shut down might affect him. I know you'll love it
👾💜👾💜👾💜👾💜👾💜👾💜👾For the most part things hadn't changed, Haruhi was still Haruhi- Tamaki was still Tamaki- and the rest of the club was as it was before the two had confessed to one another. Still Hikaru's heart hurt; she hadn't picked him. "This is what I get for opening up to people." He thought "marking yourself Vulnerable, it really only leads to people stomping on your heart."
Sitting on the windowsill he stared longingly at Haruhi- who had decided to stay a host, considering the girls had thought the last Dave was the club just showing off how Haruhi looked cute in a dress, many of them still believe Haruhi was a boy. Of course Haruhi wasn't bothered by it one bit, and Tamaki of course was; He fussed over her even walking towards anyone else. And while they weren't any more 'lovey dovey' than they were before, it sickened Hikaru to see them together.
Hikaru had decided to not let people in anymore if they were only going to hurt him, what would be the point? It would only serve to hurt him, and how he hated that. Time continued on until the closing of the year came, every one advanced into the next school year; even Mori and Honey who would now go to university. Despite how he was feeling, and how he distanced himself from all of his club members. Kaoru was to only one to immediately take notice.
Every chance he had he took to talk to his brother, to try and sooth him, make him feel like he was back in the good old days. And during the beginning of this, Hikaru humored him; playing along with his ideas pretending he was fine and so forth, but as break started Hikaru began distancing himself from even Kaoru.
Hikaru found himself taking more walks, exploring the city, looking for some amusement outside of people, and away from kaoru's prying eyes.
Today he found himself in Edward park, a fairly upscale park located in the hospital district. A lake was the center of the park surrounded by fencing and a side walk, in the middle of the lake was a huge fountain, beautifully carved in to an old classic type of look. Of course Hikaru had seen much bigger, he wasn't some commoner so easily impressed. Trees surrounded the park densely packed together, making it very forest like. The air was sweet with Cotten candy, venders were scattered around the park.
He couldn't help but wonder "Would Haruhi like a place like this?" quickly he shook his head of the thought, Haruhi didn't care about him. Why would she when she had the prince? "Whatever, Haruhi wasn't so great" He rationed. The suns calming rays began to get to him, the grass looked soft and inviting, he'd lay down but only for a minute.
This place was so peaceful, he felt himself being coaxed to fall asleep, to dream, to forget. That was until he felt a swift kick to the ribs, then a body falling on top of him.
Sitting up swiftly he grabbed his side as he coughed "Ouch! What the hell are you doing?" He screamed out. A child laid across his lap, a small girl with dark brown hair, her eyes were a gentle grey, and filled with tears. Hikaru tensed up, what was going on?
The girl grabbed onto him and began to cry, Hikaru felt nervous sweat drops form on his head, who was this girl? She was so young, maybe 7 maybe younger, was she lost? Finally coming out of his shock he picked the girl up. So she would look at him,
"Jeez if you keep crying like that you'll get snot on my pants" He wined
the girl cried harder, he definitely had no real experience with children. Thinking quickly he remembered how Tamaki was so good with children, If he mimicked him then maybe...
