Lauren and myself were outside in the dark tiptoeing to next door.
"Wait," Lauren said stopping and searching through her light pink Ted Baker bag. "Here it is!" Lauren said handing me a black torch for us.
"Why did you have that in your bag?" I whispered.
"For sleepovers but I must of forgot to unpack it." Lauren said. We started to move again to find that the neighbours door was widely opened. Inside was smashed glass, coats on the floor, books on the floor and worse of all blood!
"We shouldn't do this!" Lauren said backing out. "It's more safe if we go to the police!" Lauren said. Suddenly a raspy old mans voice came from inside the neighbours house.
"Well, well, well who have we go here?!" The mysterious man said. All of a sudden, you could start to see a figure coming from the shadows. My heart the beating fast with fear and I could tell it was the same for Lauren.
"Why can I hear screaming and crying every night at stupid times? Also what kind of  psycho would recorded someone asleep?!"
"You're a very stupid young girl aren't you!" Laughed the old man.
"And why is that?!" I said getting annoyed.
"You never tell a psycho that they're a psycho, it upsets them!" He said starting to shout. I started to clench my fists with anger as a little boy came running out from this house with cuts and bruises practically everywhere on his body with tears streaming on his face. "You're going to regret this, know I have two choices you go back in your house and leave me alone or you stay here and I'll make you suffer, what's your choice?" The man said
"We'll choose the first option." Lauren said quickly holding my wrist gently. "Come on lets go home!"
"You should listen more to your friend Tiffany!" The man said. I froze, how did he know my name?!

We quickly got back and Lauren and myself where shacking with fear. "What should we do?" Asked Lauren.
"Let's do what we should of done in the first place, call the police!" I said getting my phone from the table.
A FEW MINUTES LATER
"Okay thank you for letting us know we'll be there straight away!" The police officer said ending the call.
"What should we do know?" I said sitting on my stairs.
"We can watch a comedy film to make us feel better?" Lauren said.

We was a few minutes into the film when we heard high pitched sirens going off. We immediately paused the film and went to go watch. From all we could see was a group of police officers around the neighbours door ready for him to get arrested. Then suddenly the neighbour came out from his home and out with handcuffs. As he was going in the car he gave me and Lauren a uncomfortable glare but at least it was all over.

The Next Morning
In the morning Lauren and myself woke up at 10am which was so late for me as usually I wake up at 8am but I still felt tired. During breakfast we avoided watching the news as we didn't want to see the man again so instead, we resumed watching the comedy. When the film finished I got up to get us a drink, I found an envelope on the floor. I opened it slowly to be presented with a creased piece of paper with red ink saying "THIS ISN'T OVER, I WILL COME BACK FOR YOU!" On the bottom it said "FROM THE NEIGHBOUR NEXT DOOR" I dropped the paper, what have I done?!
