"You wanna think about removing yourself from this environment, doctor?" Natasha questioned, ignoring what he had asked her

Bruce let out a laugh as he said "I was in Calcutta, I was pretty well removed." Natasha sighed, stepping closer to him saying

"Loki is manipulating you." to which Bruce retaliated with "And you've been doing what exactly?

Delilah sighed, "Bruce, we all know you didn't come here because she batted her eyelashes." Bruce glanced at her, before saying

"Yeah, and i'm not leaving because you two suddenly get a little twitchy." He goes to the monitor and starts pointing at the weaponry with the pen in his hand

"I'd like to know why S.H.I.E.L.D is using the tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction." He stated, his eyes shifting over everyone in the room

It was quiet for a second until Fury said "Because of him." pointing at Thor, who looked confused as he said "Me?"

"Last year earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town. We learned that not only are we not alone, but we are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned." he explained, looking at everyone in the room individually

"My people want nothing but peace with your planet." Thor stated, his voice filled with some offence

"But you're not the only people out there? are you?" He paused before stepping closer to Thor "And, you're not the only threat." He began to turn to look at the other 'Avengers'

"The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, who can't be controlled." like me Delilah almost wanted to say, but she stayed quiet, knowing now was not the time to be self conscious

"Like you controlled the cube?" Steve said, looking up, it was clear he was annoyed, he truly believed the world had changed, but it never did, and possibly never will

"You're work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies. It is the signal to all the realms that the earth is ready for a higher form of war." Thor said, with every word getting closer to Fury

"A higher form?" Delilah and Steve spoke at the same time, the girl was very confused, she thought it was supposed to be an easy mission or whatever

"You forced our hand. We had to come up with something." Delilah almost laughed, the thing they came up with was mass destructive weapons?

"Nuclear deterrent! Cause that always calms everything right down" Stark said sarcastically

"Remind me again how you made your fortune, Stark?" Fury retaliated, looking at Stark "I'm sorry, didn't he stop everything to do with weapons?" Delilah said, but everyone ignored her

"I'm sure if Stark still made his weapons, he'd be neck deep." Steve said butting in, Delilah wanted to roll her eyes at the super human, he really was that petty

"Wait wait hold on, how is this all about me now?" Stark said confused, "I'm sorry? isn't everything?" Steve sassed

"I thought Humans were more evolved." At that, Delilah swore she was about to kill someone as she said "I'm sorry? Did we come to your planet and blow shit up?"

As everyone began fighting, Delilah could barely understand what they were saying, but she could hear Natasha explain that they were all on a potential threat list, which was very comforting, note the sarcasm.

Everyone seemed to ignore the fact the spectre was glowing, as Thor said "You speak of control, yet you cause chaos!"

"It's his M.O., isn't it? I mean, what are we, a team? No, no, no. We're a chemical mixture that makes chaos. We're... we're a time-bomb." Banner said, his anxiety high

"You need to step away." Fury stated, looking directly at Banner, "No, why shouldn't the guy let off a little steam?" Tony said, putting a hand on steve's shoulder

Steve pushed off his hand, angrily saying "You know damn well why. Back off."

"Oh i'm starting to want you to make me." Delilah felt her face squint up in confusion, was he threatening him, or wanting Steve to have sex with him?

"Big man in a suit of armor. Take that off, what are you?" Steve questioned, as Tony said "Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist." Delilah glanced at Natasha, who nodded her head in agreement

"I know guys with none of that worth ten of you. Yeah, I've seen the footage." Steve said looking Tony directly in the eyes "The only person you fight for, is yourself. You're not the guy to make the sacrifice play, to lay down on a wire and let the other guy crawl over you."

"I think I would just cut the wire." Tony said, he wasn't wrong in doing so, not in Delilah's mind anyways

"Always a way out... You know, you may not be a threat, but you better stop pretending to be a hero." Steve said, a sarcastic smile on his face as he said it, which was the end of the line for Tony.

"A hero? like you? You're a laboratory experiment, Rogers. Everything special about you came out of a bottle." Tony spat

Steve puffed up his chest at Tony, who stood there, staring into Steve's eyes

"Put on the suit, let's go a few rounds." Steve threatened, Thor laughed saying "You humans are so petty" He paused before saying "and tiny." Delilah rolled her eyes saying "You go around saying your the god of thunder, bud. You're worse."

"yeh, this is a tee.." Banner said, resulting in everyone turning to him, "Agent Romanoff, would you mind bringing Dr. Banner back to his-"

Before Fury could continue, Banner said "where? you've already rented my room."

"The cell was just in case-" He was cut off again, when Banner said "In case you needed to kill me, but you can't! I know, I've tried." he said annoyed

Everyone stared at Bruce, shock written on their face, Delilah felt worse than she did before for Bruce, he didn't deserve what happened to him, it was just a science experiment gone wrong

"I got low. I didn't see an end, so I put a bullet in my mouth and the other guy spit it out! So I moved on. I focused on helping other people. I was good, until you dragged me back into this freak show and put everyone here at risk!" He slightly yelled, he turns to Natasha saying

"You wanna know my secret, Agent Romanoff? You wanna know how I stay calm?" He went to say something else, while Fury and Nat had their hands on their guns

"Doctor Banner..." Steve began, resulting in Bruce turning to him, "put down the sceptre."

Bruce, looking confused on having Loki's sceptre in his hands, puts it down when they hear a beeping from the computer, to which they all turn to

"Sorry kids I guess you don't get to see my party trick after all."

weeee- we updated- i'm getting closer to the battle which is fun bc i can barely write normal scenes, imagine the fight scenes sksksksk
