okay so i first start with a rough sketch of the pose i want the character to be in. the shoulders and hips are roughly the same lenght and width and bigger than the head

next, the body in green just so the clothes fit the body how they should.

the clothes in dark blue with the detail. they need to hug the body if they're tight and hang if they're loose.

once the experimental sketch looks alright, i get another sketch on top of it. the experimental one would confuse me a lot-

i keep the lineart in dark red as clean as possible.

the coloring is done without a bucket tool, making me sit in front of the drawing for longer than it should. but honestly this is the way i like it.

the lineart is colored with the dark coloring of the colors used.

then the shading. i use dark purple as shade on 60% opacity on one layer and golden highlight on 100% opacity.
