i am very embarrassed for my early chapters/art in this book but i'm keeping it all there anyway because it shows my art journey pretty well and how i improved pretty quickly if i do say so myself.

okay- before the transformation, ves was a wish-granting jinn of course. he was tasked to grant anyone's wishes, no matter how humiliating or ridiculous. most of the wishes he got were fine, nothing spectacular. he was fine with those.
however there were some wishes that were either too sexual or too degrading for him to grant. poor boi was forced to grant them anyway and the moment those wishes multiplied, he started to feel like a toy. a jinn incapable of feeling or having an opinion.
then the boi granted wishes for a seemingly nice male. he treated the jinn with respect, hell, one of his three wishes was for vesper.
"i wish for you to express your feelings and opinions freely!"
and that settled it for vesper. he liked the man.
the man always came back to keep him company with vesper finally being able to stay outside his lamp for longer than 5 minutes.
the two eventually ended up in a relationship, making vesper stay outside of his lamp for entire days just so he could hug the ever loving shit out of his now-boyfriend.
he couldn't have asked for more until one day the man came to their regular meet-up a bit later than usual. he asked what was up but he only answered with,
"i got distracted on my way here, don't worry too much!"
vesper believed him.
until those distractions became too much.
one day, the man completely stopped visiting the jinn, which upset him even more. no other monster came to have wishes granted and so, vesper was left in his lamp, making up scenarios for himself.
he wondered, what if everyone slowly forgot about him in the lamp?
vesper lost track of time as he didn't know how long he was sitting in his lamp.
finally, a rub on the lamp. ecstatic, he left the lamp to find that the park the lamp was in has been completely abandoned and overgrowing with exotic life.
when he looked down at who freed him, he only saw a short-haired woman staring in surprise.
"wh-where am i?! what's going on?!" the jinn asked frantically, desperate for an answer when he remembered what he was worrying for in the first place.
