SIX YEARS AGO, THE - Blakes were on a business trip, leaving their daughter Avalon with a friend, Hal Jordan.

The Blakes were in the closets business, which sounds lame but was actually their dream and the reason they met. They were designing and making closets, being each of them co-ceo of their company. They shared everything in this company, as it reflected in the name that it was theirs, Blakes' Closets.

They were almost obsessed with their job, even after 15 years of routine, in the same industry. The only thing that made them go to work was thinking about the varieties of closets they could design and sell, making people happy.

They had a modest house, everything they needed and a daughter.

But maybe their closet company was a cover for something way bigger.

When their daughter was twelve, they went to Central City to meet friends. Those friends were indeed famous for something, as well as the Blakes, for being vigilantes -or like kids would say, superheroes- and appearing in newspaper and such.

Avalon's father was mostly known by the world as Captain Comet, a mutant metahuman with a ton of superpowers, but he was also known by Metropolis' citizen as Adam Blake, husband of Catherine Blake, and Closets' king.

When he felt like it was time for him to return where he belonged, in space, he left everything behind him and left. When Catherine went to say goodbye and she watched him leave, she jumped off the bridge and quietly told Avalon she loved her.

Avalon never knew of her father's identity before seeing pictures of him in the Hall of Justice, as a hero that flew away to return home. She never thought she would see her dad, a guy addicted to the closet industry, one day on a wall in the Hall of Justice during a trip with her newly found friends.

All of this information was new to her, but what was coming was definitely not expected by any of them. Avalon could heal faster than any human being, she could create barriers of psychic force to protect her and deflect attacks, but the less expected was mostly the sudden raise of her I.Q. and the lightining bursts striking with concussive impact.

Although she had superpowers like her father, she never learnt to control them, and nobody could help or relate to her, because her family was no more.
