A/n: Hey everyone so since no one answered the questions in the last part I posted over a week ago (which is totally fine) I decided to just work on it and give the people what they want. So here you guys go.

Y/n's POV:

I was standing outside of the store waiting for the police to come so my plan can work.

A few minutes later I watch the car finally come. Alright time for my plan to come in action.

"Holy moly! The boys in blue! I'm sure glad to see you. I called as soon as I saw. They're in there." I said with my best act I could possibly put.

"You stay here." They said before they entered.

"I saw 'em hide back in there." The police start walking all the way to the back of the store.

They start to knock on the door while shouting "Police, comin' in!" Along with "Police!" They opened the door. Time for my plan to come in action.

"There's nobody in here. It's a closet" I hear one of them say. "What do you mean?" I hear the other ask. Alright let's do this.

"You really bought that, huh?" I ask as the officers gave me a puzzled look. I start to jump so I can pull down the gate. They were starting to yell "Hey, no, no, no!"  Along with "Stop, stop, stop, stop!" I finally got the gate to pull down and lock them in for a while. They keep on banging the door. "Open this up right now, kid!" I go to the window with a smile on my face.

"That's a federal offense, kid!" I look at the police car and I begin to walk to it. "You can't do that!" One of them yells. "Don't go in that car!" The other yells. They think I'm gonna listen? That's cute.

I get in the car, go on their laptop and as soon as I start typing the police are still yelling. "Come on open this door, please." "Please, please, come on!" "Come on!" It's kind of funny how they think I'm gonna let them go no matter how much they beg.

"Very good, very funny." "Very funny. That's great." "That's hilarious, yeah." I keep on typing on the laptop and I find the information that I need. I've gotta find her. "Uh, dispatch, we need backup at the Lower One shopping center, please." I grab the walkie-talkie that's connected to the car radio. "Dispatch, cancel that request. Some kid stole our walkie-talkies." I say with my best adult voice that I could possibly make. " 'Walkie-talkies?' How old are you?" Well shit.

I look at the front window and see a bag of food. I think one of the cops saw because I hear him saying: "No, no, no, no." And "That's my lunch, kid!" I take the food-filled bag and I start walking to the house that hopefully has my mom.

Time skip to Rachel's house

I'm in front of her house and I start practicing on what I want to say to her. God, I miss her. "Miss Batson, I, uh... I-I've been looking for you. Ugh... No. Gosh. It's me, it's (Y/n)."

Flashback

I'm sitting on a booth with my mom. She was playing a balloon popping game, trying to win the stuffed tiger that I kept begging for.

"I want the tiger." I begged for the billionth time. I'm a kid what do you expect? "I know honey, I know. But Mom's not exactly going pro here." She says as she looked at me with the sweetest smile.

All of a sudden I hear a pop. "We got one." The man in the booth gave us something. Sadly it wasn't the tiger. Instead it was a spherical compass.

"But I wanted a tiger!" I say in a disappointed tone. "Oh but this is the real prize, baby. See? You can use that your whole life. You'll always find your way." She says to persuade me that it's better than the tiger. At least it worked on my little kid mind.

I was holding my mom's hand with one of my hands and examining the compass with the other until it slipped out of my hands. I let go of my mom's hand so I can find it. It was going everywhere due to people kicking it without noticing.

Once I found the compass, I lost my mom. "Mom?" I started to softly shove people out of the way to find her. I see a lady wearing the same outfit as her. "Mom!" I grab her arm. "Mom!" She may have been wearing the same clothes as my mom. But it wasn't her. "Hey. Who are you with, bud?" She asks.

I was sitting on the police car, wrapped in a blanket, waiting for her to come. "Yeah, she says it's (Y/n) Batson. Don't worry, kid. I'm sure she'll come looking before too long, okay? They always do." The police says.

End of Flashback

"Mom, I'm home." I mutter as I walk to the front door. I knock on the door. "Yes." I hear a woman say. Alright here we go. "Yeah, uh... Is this Rachel Batson?" I ask with nervousness filled inside of me. "Who's asking?" She replies. "Um... Yeah, see, the thing is... I think you're my mom."

I hear her walk to the door. Then I hear the door knob jiggling and the door opened.

Left y'all on a cliffhanger didn't I? I'm really excited because it's the first chapter and I can't wait to see how far this story will go. So far, I'm trying to make it like the movie with a few of my own things that might come later in the story. Fun fact: I actually searched up the script and I have about 30 screenshots and I'm not even done with talking pictures of the script. But anyways, that's all and I hope you have an amazing morning/afternoon/evening. 💜
