"I just don't understand, he seemed understanding yesterday. I don't know what happened" she says while cleaning her tears
"You need to calm down, gather yourself and head down to his house"
"I'm not doing that, I shouldn't be the one begging him" she exclaims
"I didn't say you should beg him, just have a simple conversation with him. He might be going through something really serious"
As Lilian is about to give a reply her phone starts ringing and she quickly turns it off.
"Who was that?" Latasha asks smiling
"Nobody important"
Latasha quickly grabs her phone and checks her missed calls
"Eduardo? The guy you met at the club?"
Lilian is extremely reluctant to respond to Latasha
"You guys banged?"
"Well......... no, no no. We didn't" Lilian stutters
"Bitch you lying"

"I'm not"
Latasha is interrupted by a knock on the door
"Are you expecting anyone?" Latasha asks
"I don't think so"
Lilian gets up to open the door to reveal Rasheed and Lilian immediately turns back to look at Latasha who quickly takes her bag and leaves the apartment giving them space to talk.

"What do you want?" Lilian asks furiously
"The least you could do is tell me to come in"
"I don't see why I should"
"Could you please just let me in?"
Lilian gets out of the way and let's Rasheed in looks at the used tissue papers on the floor while walking into the apartment
"Have you been crying?" He asks
"What do you want?"
"Calm down, I didn't come to pick a fight with you"
"So why are you here?"
"I just came here to explain to you the reasons why I had to let you go"
"Which are?"
"I needed to let you go because of my father, I know that's not what you want to hear but it's the fact. If I didn't do that we would both lose the company"
"I don't care if you lose it, I've already lost it"
"You don't understand, your salary comes from the Roman Records payroll and that payroll is funded by my father's conglomerate. Meaning that whatever salary is paid comes directly from my father and he will definitely look out for your name in the payroll to make sure you're actually out of the job"
"What does this have to do with anything?" Lilian interrupts
"Let me finish. I fired you in front of everyone but I am here to rehire you. Not as a staff but as a consultant if I may call it that and you and your mother will be on my personal payroll"
"Really?"
"Yes, and I'm stepping down as Acting CEO for someone else and I think you should be familiar with the new CEO so I invited him over"
"Oh, so he's here?"
"Yes"
His phone beeps
"At the door actually"
Lilian gets up immediately and heads over to open the door, as he opens the door she happens to see a very familiar face.
