Tough Times (Choni)

Free or not free?

We got to the police station, and I quickly got off the motorcycle. I was waiting for SweetPea, but he said "They can't see me, because I'm apart of the gang".

I nodded my head understanding, and gave him his helmet.  He put in on his head, then I waved bye to him. He waved back, and drove away from the station.

I slammed the door open to the station, and went to the receptionist desk. "Hello ma'am how may I help you" the women asked me. "I'm here to get Antoinette Topaz" I said kindly.

She typed something on her computer, and said "Sorry ma'am, but you can't see her right now" the lady said. "Why not" I asked impatiently. "Because I say so" she replied with a stank attitude.

Okay bitch, let's play. I looked at her name tag, and it said Susan. "Well Susan, my family is the top family in this whole entire town, and when we want something..."

I leaned forward to her ear and continued "We fucking get what we want, even if someone says that we can't get it, so you can tell me where the fuck Antoinette Topaz is, so I can see her".

"Go down the hall, take a left, go down, and take another left, and a man named Officer Krugar should be there". I smiled at her pettily, and said "Thank you Susan".

I followed her directions, and I saw a 40 year old looking man standing at a door. "Hello, are you Officer Krugar" I asked. "Yes I am, but what are you doing here" he asked. "I'm here to get Antoinette Topaz".

"Does she force you to bail her out when she comes here". I looked at him like he is on drugs. "No, I'm her girlfriend" "Did she force you into dating her" "What the fuck you old hag, no, and why is our relationship any your your business" I said, looking at him in disgust.

"Well she's in a gang and-" "And what the fuck about it? Just tell me what the fucking bail is so I can get my girlfriend out of here" I said, looking at my nails in boredom.

"The price is 25,000 dollars" he said while smiling. That's barely any money. I went into my bag, and gave him the money.

He looked shocked, but then hid it and said "Let's hope you have more money left". I looked at him, and said "That barely affected how much money I have". His smile dropped, and he just silently led me to where the cells were.

We reached Toni's cell, and I saw Toni unconscious with handcuffs on her hands, attached to the cot. The man opened the cell, and I ran to Toni. I saw that her face was all beat up, which was probably from the fight at school.

I held her face, and started slapping it lightly while saying "Toni, baby wake up".

She wasn't waking up, so I went to the man, and slapped him. "What the fuck did you do to my girlfriend" I growled. "She was beating up our men, so we tased her, until she fell unconscious".

I kicked him in the balls, and grabbed the keys from him. I unlocked the handcuffs, and carried Toni bridal style, until we reached outside.

I sat down on the steps in front of the precinct, and placed Toni on my lap. Then I called Kevin to take my car from school, and bring it to the Police Station.

Kevin finally arrived, and I put Toni in the passenger seat. I made sure she was secure and changed on Kevin in the back before driving away from that horrible place. We reached my house and Kevin lifted Toni out of the car and carried her in the house to my room.

He placed her on the bed, I asked him to get the first aid kit, while I started to take of Toni's shirt.

When I took of her shirt, I gasped, and saw purple and blue bruises on her ribs. I traced my fingers around them and winced at how they swelled underneath my fingers. "My poor baby, look what they did to you" I whispered, still in shock.

Kevin came in, and I heard him gasp, dropping the kit in the process. In my head, I thought "I want to kill those people".  But first I had to take care of my beloved Toni who was hurt. I held out my hand for the medical supplies, and Kevin and I got to work.

Kevin cleaned Toni's face, while I iced her bruises and put some type of ointment on them.

Minutes later, Kevin and I finished cleaning up, and then he to me he had to leave, so we said our goodbyes.  Before he left, he said "Even though it's not good, Toni did the right thing in a way".

I smiled at him, and he smiled back, then left. I got Toni into comfortable clothes, and I changed into comfortable clothes for myself too.

I climbed onto the bed and threw an arm over Toni's uninjured area, making sure not to hurt her while she's sleeping.  I felt my eyes getting heavy from all of the events from today, and I fell into a deep sleep.
