Flashback when arriving to London
"Peter...do you really have to leave?" Kyle asked tears rising in his eyes.
"Yeah Peter! Why can't you stay?" Ace prompted.
"I'm sorry guys but I don't want to stay here. I want to go back to Neverland with Tink." Peter replied hugging the two youngest.
"Promise you'll never forget us Peter, promise that you'll come visit every chance you get." Michael cried.
"I promise boys, but it's time for Tink and I to go home. Now be good boys, we'll visit soon!" Peter replied flying off.
"Bye Peter! Bye Tink!" They all cried as they watched their two friends disappear within the star.
Two years later
By now Peter's visits had stopped and the boys were slowly forgetting him;going oldest to youngest, Ace forgetting last. He had hope that Peter would randomly pop out of nowhere surprising them, but alas he was wrong. Peter never came. He thought Peter had forgotten them, but could he be more wrong.
It was the opposite actually, Peter remembered them well. He wanted the lost boys to grow up and experience life. Peter knew the consequences of them growing up; they'd have to forget about him, about Neverland.
He stopped coming to see them thinking he was doing it to help the boys, but in return he was just hurting himself. His playful ways started to cease. He stopped doing everything because he only remembered the lost boys.
He started to get lonelier and lonelier, craving for comfort. Tinkerbelle had gone back to Pixie Hallow leaving him alone. Soon he was just there floating in an empty land, or so it seemed. He was getting worst each day regretting the decision of letting them go, but he knew it was for the best.
But was it really? Peter was so lonely he started to make up scenarios with the lost boys and himself. He started seeing them together playing and at a point imagined them grown up. And with those imaginations he grew as well. Not mentally but physically. Peter Pan grew up.
Timeskip
It's been 10 years since the lost boys left. They have forgotten everything, but Peter hasn't. He remembered each an everyone of them. Tiger and his boastful ways; Adrian, despite being small, and his pervertedness. Not to mention James getting angry at every little thing, even Liam watching everyone with his arms crossed jealousy written all over his face. Michael stealing the mermaids' treasure, Kyle eating all the berries and foods he could find, and not to talk about Ace who was always sleeping away.
Despite this Peter went on in agony refusing to ever see them again, but in the end he did the exact opposite. He finally decided he had enough. He was going to see them again whether they remember him or not. He took the last bit of pixie dust and sprinkled it on himself then flew off towards the second star to the right, straight till morning.
He never regretted doing it, even if it meant him forgetting all about his home.
