-Anastasia's POV-
I had stayed up the remainder of the night. I couldn't shake the feelings seeing him had left me. I was terrified. Where had he come from? What does he want?
I was too lost in my private thoughts and fears to notice my mom let herself into my room.
She has apparently been trying to get my attention for a while. I jumped when she grabbed my arm and I finally heard her say my name in a panicked tone. She was just staring at me with a panicked and curious expression. "Are... Are you okay?!" She stutter. "Yes, mom, I'm fine. I was just thinking." I replied, adding an annoyed tone hoping it would ease her panic. She stared at me for a few more minute. I tried not to look her in the eyes. I can't stand it when she stares at me. I'm afraid she'll suspect things. Suspicion leads to curiosity. Curiosity leads to investigating. Investigating leads to her knowing. Her knowing leads to me leaving.
I looked away from her completely and cleared my throat. She snapped out of her little daze and looked away. "Alright.." She said. She didn't sound like she was really convinced, but she knew better than to keep pestering me when I obviously didn't want to talk. "I.. Was just coming to make sure you were awake. You have a big day ahead of you. You should start getting ready." She tried to steady her voice and sound less concerned. She failed. "Alright." I said, glancing from her to the door. She got the hint and quickly walked out.
I looked at the clock. With no sleep I had lost count of time. All I knew is I've been awake since 1:30 exactly. It was 6:30. Why was I up again? What was today? I grabbed my phone and looked at my calendar. Shit. Time to return to the hell hole. Sighing, I got out of bed and walked into my closet.
