Please let me introduce myself, my name is Cameron, that's me over there sitting next to my husband Carson. We have been happily married now for over 10 years. It was not an easy relationship, especially at the beginning. I was only 15 at the time and living in Sandhurst England. I never told anyone that I was gay, not even my so-called girlfriend Lucy. Heck, why don't I just take you all back to the beginning some 11 years ago. When my parents and I left England for the American dream...

...Arousing from the sound of my alarm, at four in the morning after hitting the snooze button and gaining another fifteen minutes. I decided to take my last hot shower here in England. After enjoying the nice long steaming hot shower, I reached for my clothes that were laying on the back of the loo. I headed downstairs after getting dressed and styling my hair, so I looked put together and not a hot mess. I made some coffee for mum and dad, who were still asleep. After it was brewed, I took theirs up to them. Their alarm was going off as I entered their room. Meanwhile, I went to get my little sister up and help her get dressed so we don't miss our ride to the airport. By the time I finished helping Holly, mum and dad were already downstairs. So, I straightaway grabbed my luggage from my room and made my way downstairs.

"so difficult to leave; lived here since I was born." I said.

"I know hun," mum said. As we made our way out to our awaiting Lyft.

We arrived at the airport with roughly four hours to spare. My dear grandparents, along with some friends who decided to come and say goodbye. Suddenly, after getting checked in for our flight to America. Happened to see Lucy, my girlfriend, down the concourse and ran up and embraced her.

"I'm really going to miss you Camron," she said.

"Yeah, I'm really going to miss you as well, we'll never see each other ever again so—"

"Just stop! I don't want to hear it," She said sitting down, "I know long relationships don't work, I love you and want to remember you for that, not you dumping me."

"I love you as well," I said sitting next to her, "We definitely have to stay in touch even though not together."

"Yea, text me when you land"

I heard my mother shouting from the jetway entrance, "Camron! It's time to go."

"Goodbye, I am going to really miss you." Lucy said.

"I am going to miss you also, bye."

We boarded the plane and took our seats for what would be a nine and a half-hour flight. I ended up falling asleep shortly after takeoff. My dad woke me up about 10 minutes before we landed at the Spokane International Airport. We disembarked and made our way through the crowded concourse toward the baggage claim. Where we were approached by couple TSA agents for a random baggage check. Which took us somewhere around two-two and a half-hour to get through. When we finally did get through, as we were making our way toward the exit, we seen a gentleman with a sign that read 'Cordell and Alexandra Walker' who was patiently waiting for us. After driving for 30 minutes to our new home the northeast side of town. Our driver pulled up in front of a split-level house. After getting out I ran inside to look around and through the wall of glass that there was a nice size pool with a slide. Looking around inside. I noticed there was 3 large bedrooms 2 which were upstairs and a large bedroom downstairs with a bathroom attached. This was a significant upgrade from what we had back in Sandhurst.

After looking around the new house and selecting the perfect room. I proceeded to unpack my things I brought with me on the plane. While unpacking, I heard the doorbell, I ran and answered it. There stood a brown bearded man.

"Hello"

"Hi, I'm Chris I live across the street," he said, reaching his hand out, "I see that you guys have just moved in and wondered if my wife and I could be of any assistance?"
